VENOM

Brickatecture MOC Industries is back with another fantastic LEGO superheroes model, which was completed just in time for Halloween! Man is now combining LEGO and Symbiote to make this scary realistic Venom mask made 100% from LEGO elements! “This LEGO Venom Helmet is fully wearable and features a working puppet jaw (the helmet talks when you talk). It took 3 weeks to build and features about 1000 pieces.” Not only is the mask insanely cool on its own, but the builder can even wear it and operate the jaw to make Venom talk at the same time! Ridiculously cool.

I am now hungry for Tater Tots. You’re welcome.

Nathaniel Stoner

My name is Nathaniel Stoner, and I am an very active LEGO builder.  I mostly build in the themes of castle and science-fiction, but I also dabble in other genres and create occasional random MOC's (My Own Creations).

When I was younger, I would get and build small LEGO sets for my birthday, but I was never really into them.  When they fell apart, I would become frustrated attempting to put them back together and would throw them in a box in my closet.  I couldn't stand them!

Then, miraculously, I became addicted to the LEGO brick later in my teen years.  Ever since, I have continued to build up (pun intended) my collection of bricks and to expand my knowledge of techniques and building skills.  LEGO is truly more than a toy, its an art form and a way to express yourself.

For the most part, I collect LEGO Star Wars (mainly the minifigs), which is probably my favorite LEGO theme.  I have a fairly decent collection, including some of the original 1999 sets, such as the Snowspeeder, X-Wing, and Naboo starfighter.  I also collected LEGO the Lord of the Rings when those sets first came out.  The minifigs are great, and the story remains one of my favorites ever.

My hope is to inspire other young (and perhaps even older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity!  You can find me on my Flikr here

Nerdvember Is Here!

Nerdvember_8bit.jpg

It’s here, Nerdvember is here! It’s time to break out the Nerdly instructions and get the creative juices flowing for BrickNerd’s annual building contest! We want you to build our mascot Nerdly, but not just any Nerdly, we want to see you get creative with him.

The theme this year is Video Games. Everything from the glorious first days of Pong to the incredibly popular Fortnite, and chunky 8-bit to millions of polys. We want you to find inspiration in all the wonderful pixel-based-time-wasters of the last four decades. Yes, it’s been over forty years of blips and boops and sore thumbs, and who knows how many thousands of games. We think you’ll agree there’s a whole lot to inspire some amazing creations and you have a whole month to build.

Wonder Woman

I will admit that when I heard there was going to be a modern Wonder Woman movie I was skeptical, especially considering the track record of DC movies (I’m looking at your Batman Vs Superman) but I was very pleasantly surprised by Gal Gadot’s portrayal and Patty Jenkin’s direction (can we PLEASE get some more female directors Hollywood?) There’s still a soft spot in my heart for Linda Carter, but this new Wonder Woman kicks some serious butt. And this sculpture of her by builder manufacturajarema kicks an equal amount of said butt.
