Chicken Run

If you haven't seen Chicken Run you need to give it a chance. For one, it's by Aardman, the Wallace and Grommet people, so you know it's funny. And it's heavily inspired by Stalag 17, and The Great Escape, so it's a good story. And of course it's stop-motion animated, a subject close to my heart. Builders SuckMyBrick liked it so much they were inspired to build. And this is the result, pure enchantment and fun, just like the movie,

• Sheep like to stay close to others in a herd which makes them easier to move together to new pastures.
• There are over 1 billion sheep in the world.
• Sheep have a field of vision of around 300 degrees, allowing them to see behind themselves without having to turn their head.
• When stop-motion animated they can be especially amusing.
• When built in LEGO by Palixa And The Bricks they are irresistible.

How can you go wrong with Aardman, stop motion and wool? Shaun the Sheep is finally getting his own movie this year, and builder ArzLan is celebrating with a lovely little MOC of the title character. Not baaaaaaad sir, not baaaaaaad.

A Grand Day Out

This shot should be instantly recognizable to anyone who enjoys stop motion animation, British humor or cheese. It's Wallace and Gromit on their Grand Day Out. A short little trip to the moon is just the thing when you run out of cheese.
