Singer

A venerable classic household machine build from a venerable classic children's toy, it's a home run of nostalgia right here. Of course you know this is a vintage Singer sewing machine, everybody knows that, it's like the McDonald's arches, it's just...known. Builder EugeneTTs not only nailed the aesthetic of this machine, he built a small collection of the items you always saw with one. A bolt of fabric is all you'd need to start crafting a trendy wearable, costume, or an infinite number of things that need stitched.

Singer

This is one of those times I refreshed the Flickr feed and stopped cold saying "whoa". This old time Singer by 6kyubi6 is perfect, just perfect. Yes, as I've revealed before I know how to use a sewing machine. I don't do it much any more, but at least once a year I'm breaking out the machine and stitching away. Mine doesn't look like this, but works in pretty much the exact same way.

But It's Not Over

I've often wondered where the "fat lady sings" euphemism comes from. I suppose I could google it, but that would be too easy. But the notion that nothing is "over" until a heavyset woman wearing viking armor, not unlike this MOC by Pepa Quin, comes out belting operatic tones seems really odd. What if your opera is set in ancient Mongolia? She would be completely out of place. What if it's set in modern Los Angeles? Actually, that's not much of a stretch, never mind.
