Four Seasons

With the blazing heat of summer here to accompany us every step we make, it becomes hard to remember a time without sunburns and a constant desire for air conditioning. Luckily for us, roΙΙi is here to remind us of all the other wonderful seasons of the year in this fantastic series of micro builds. And let me tell you, the summer micro build really floats my boat if you know what I’m saying.

Daydelon

I know much of the US, and the world is enduring a cold snap at the moment, so the charm of a snowy medieval village might be lessened a bit. But just look at this excellent diorama by builder soccersnyderi. Despite it's apparent scale, the whole thing fits on a 48x48 baseplate. It also has a feature I've never seen before, pull out room interiors. Three little vignettes that slide out of the structures to reveal a little bit if medieval life.

Snowman

It doesn't snow here where I live in California, so snowmen have always been a source of fascination to me. Of course I've visited the snow, and built snowmen, but it always seemed a bit novel to me that people can spend the entire winter with one of these guys guarding their front yard. Well now thanks to builder Swan Dutchman, we have one guarding the blog roll.

Christmas Village

I'm running out of doors to open on my Star Wars advent calendar, it smells like gingerbread in my kitchen and the corgis keep knocking ornaments off the tree, we must be close to Christmas day. Another hint is the loads of holiday themed LEGO creations on Flickr, like this absolutely fabulous winter village by builder nolphiplays. Not only is it a charming and inviting large scale diorama, it's got a working train and it's positively brimming with scale lighting from Brickstuff. Check out the video and click through for loads more pictures of this amazing MOC.
