Hungry?

I went to Japan once, it was in the late 90's and quite the adventure. It started simply enough, with some press junkets for Armageddon and lots of meetings. There was food too, lots of it, and it was sensational every where we went. And presented well, with pride and panache, like this bento box from nobu_tary. Then I got sick, asian influenza type two, and became quite familiar with my hotel room... for three long and brutal days longer than I planned to stay in the country.

Ramen

I've only been to Japan once, but some of my more vivid memories were of the food. One afternoon we went to a noodle house, and I had some of the best noodles I've ever had. This MOC by Legorookie took me instantly back to that moment. And of course, now I'm craving noodles.

Yummy

Foodcember is 2/3 over, but that's not slowing down builder KOS brick. For weeks he's been tempting us with treats delicious enough to eat, but with decidedly little nutritional value (it turns out ABS isn't a food, who knew?) There's still some time to get in on the fun, break out the bricks and start "cooking".

Mmmm, Fried Chicken

I know it's not hunger, because I just had some amazing pot roast my wife made, but this drumstick by KOS Bricks looks delicious. Paired with some tasty fries (with ketchup, of course) and you've got a pretty yummy snack. Well, a pretty yummy MOC anyway

Mmmmm, Sardines

That title is a lie, I can't stand sardines. But I love a good build, and this sardine lunch by builder Gilcelio chagas. There's so many cool things here I don't know where to start. Of course the peeling back of the lid is genius, and the sardines with mixels eyes are perfect. But strangely I'm drawn to the most mundane item, the salt and pepper shaker.

Yum!

I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but I love cheese. There's really not much better a meal for me than some delicious cheeses on a board, some fresh fruit and some sourdough (pardon me while my eyes roll back). So this latest offering from Bruce Lowell speaks to me on a deep, personal level, stomach deep that is.

Die Fry Die!

Ladies and gentleman of the jury, I submit to you this piece of evidence, a security camera shot from the night of the incident. As you can see, the defendant is clearly...wait for it...relishing (condiment humor) in his act. This wasn't a case of mistaken identity. This wasn't self defense. And this certainly wasn't a case of jaywalking. This was murder, cold and calculated.

Mmmmmm, Roach Coach

Raise your hands if you love the food truck! There's a taco truck in town we visit at least every other week, awesome food. And I've spent whole segments of my life living off one (not to be confused with film set catering, my loathing for movie food is infamous). So this excellent little LEGO Ideas project caught my eye. All the details are perfect, I just wish LEGO made a taco element.

I Don't Like Sushi

Me: "I don't care for sushi"

Typical Friend: "You just haven't had good sushi"

Me: "No really, I don't like it"

Typical Friend: "C'mon, just try this, it's awesome. Trust me."

Me: "well...ok, fine"

Tries sushi, doesn't like it.

Repeat

Mmmmmm Lobster

I didn't get to eat lobster as a kid. I remember my parents having it from time to time, but it seemed every time they did, it was TV dinners for me and my siblings. Yes, while they ate lobster, I had salisbury steak, and you know what? I was fine with that. I'm an adult now though, and this MOC by F'Alves is making me hungry.

My Favorite

I am not shy about the fact that I love pumpkin pie. Not that I think it's wrong to share one's love of dessert, go right ahead. It's just been a bit difficult this holiday season to count points and get my fix. This slice by Ryan K poses no threat though, it's delicious looking and makes me smile, but has zero calories. 

Mmmmmmm

Having spent the last two weeks trying to lose some weight this actually looks pretty appetizing. At least more appealing than wheat bread and celery, way more than brussels sprouts.

Mmmmm, Bento Box

Hungry? How about some Japanese? Take a look at all this stuff, take a close look. It's all LEGO. Yes, even the glass and the napkin are LEGO! This isn't the greatest photo, but it's a brilliant build. Nice work Garth.
