I built the phaser as a gift for a friend who was leaving a production I was on to work on the new Star Trek movie. I liked it so much I built one for myself. Then I decided just to go ahead and make a full set of props.

A commissioned build for an independent short film. The director wanted to make it seem as though a child had built it but wanted it to be instantly recognizable, so I built it in white and then added splashes of color throughout to imply a parts shortage.
