There's only about two weeks left in the Next Level Nerdly contest on Flickr, and part of the first place prize package is now chillin' at BrickNerd Studios thanks to Flat Bonnie. This is one of only three in the world, hand made and individually numbered (this one is 02). He's super squishy and awesome.
All you need to do is take Nerdly to the next level and upload a picture to the official Flickr group. Not attending Brick Magic? No problem, you can still enter. But if you are coming, please bring your Nerdly to show off. And right now the odds are incredibly good since there's not a single entry yet (meh). But I know taking it to the next level takes time, and I've heard some really cool ideas, so I'm looking forward to what you build. So break out the bricks and I'll see you at Brick Magic!
While I'm not entirely sure how to pronounce nerd-ptician, I can certainly relate to this MOC by 6kyubi6. Not only does it feature BrickNerd's mascot Nerdly, but just in the last few months I've come to accept that my peepers are not as good as they used to be. Yes, I wear reading glasses now, and no, they're not as fashionable as anything depicted here.
I had a fantastic, albeit short time at 24 hour Toy Break last night. If you missed it, I revealed something amazing, a plush Nerdly! This was the prototype (hand made by Flat Bonnie, numbered 01), and sold for $75 to benefit the show. But more are on the way and you'll get your chance to win one hopefully soon. It's Christmas morning, I've got my Star Wars jammies and killer rabbit slippers on, the fire is crackling and soon we'll be opening presents. As I reflect on the past year I am filled with joy and happiness. Thank you all for visiting BrickNerd, watching my videos, hanging out with me and encouraging me to pursue this wonderfully ridiculous endeavor. Well, it was a Nerdtastic month, and there were many, many amazing entries, but there can be only three winners. Congratulations to Ochre Jelly, customBRICKS and Yatkuu on winning Nerdvember 2014. I'd like to extend special thanks to the judges, this was not an easy task. And a huge thanks to everyone who entered, your creativity never ceases to amaze me. There were 77 Nerdlys entered this year, all I can say is wow!

I continue to be amazed and delighted by the creativity and ingenuity of builders from all over the planet. We're just about at the half-way point in the contest and it's starting to heat up. There's been some debate as to why Nerdly wears glasses when he clearly has no eyes. But with this anatomical study by Nerdvember sponsor customBRICKS some light may have been shed on the subject. I don't know if it will influence the debate, but at least there seems to be proof of orbital anatomy.
I've heard lots of comments about MOCs for the Nerdvember contest in the works, but builder Pistash was the first to enter. This fiesta version of Nerdly cracked me up when I saw it, It must have been the combination of clown nose and party blower (who says clowns aren't funny?). Have you started your Nerdly yet?

This was a great surprise to wake up to. Lego Junkie posted the first entry to the Pimp My Nerdly contest, and it's awesome. I knew Nerdly was ready for action, but whoa!
Lino Martins was one of the winners of the Nerdly contest last month. And not to break character, Nerdly has been hotrodded out. Congrats again Lino, Nerdly never looked better!
This inspires me to run a new contest. What do you all think of a "Pimp My Nerdly" contest? I'll post the instructions and you can all go nuts with it. Thoughts?
