Ready for another month of competitive building? Here’s a new batch of LEGO contests from all around the AFOL community for April 2021 to find some inspiration and motivation to build! There’s nothing quite like a theme or a prompt to take you out of your comfort zone and give you something new to try. Besides, contests are the perfect place to interact with other contestants and judges and get to know your fellow builders. And if you’re like me, a deadline helps make sure you actually finish!
We’ve listed them in order of deadline, so you can plan your building time to the best advantage. Here at BrickNerd, some of our fondest memories, greatest building achievements, coolest trophies, and best friendships came from LEGO contests, so we really hope you try some of these out. We look forward to seeing what you build!
Think you have what it takes for eight weeks of challenges with a 101 maximum part count?
Deadline: Weekly deadlines until April 26th (you can enter as many or as few weeks as you like, but points are added to calculate the winner)
Prize: First place wins year long fame and choice of 31109 Creator Pirate Ship, the 76165 Iron Man Helmet and 76157 Wonder Woman vs. Cheetah. Second place picks of the two remaining sets, and third place receives the third. Fourth through Seventh places can look forward to 71718 Wu's Battle Dragon. Eighth through Tenth, 31111 Cyber Drone.

Minifigures need a place to play too - build a bit of a park for them to unwind!
Deadline: April 24th
Prize: First place, €55 worth of LEGO sets. Second place, €45 worth of LEGO sets. Third place, €35 worth of LEGO sets. Consolation Prize 3x 40373 Fairground Minifigure Accessories.

Deadline: April 26th
Prize: 25 winners across three categories will each receive 21037 LEGO House Set and have their model displayed at The LEGO House for a year (shipping paid for both ways).
One grand prize winner (fan vote) for each category will receive 21037 LEGO House, a signed 40501 The Duck, a signed 40502 The Brick Moulding Machine, 21326 Winnie the Pooh, and 21325 Medieval Blacksmith.
Two runner-ups for each category (fan vote) will receive 21037 LEGO House, a signed 40501 The Duck, and 21325 Medieval Blacksmith.

Enjoy building castle and medieval fantasy? With five different categories, you should be able to find something for you in the Mega Medieval MOC Mania!
Deadline: April 30th
Prize: Best entry across all categories, used 6074 Black Falcon's Fortress. Vignette category, used 6035 Castle Guard. Flora category, used 6054 Forestmen's Hideout. Outpost category, used 6059 Knight's Stronghold. Battle category, used 6061 Siege Tower. Village life category, used 6041 Armor Shop. Best smack-talking build, used 6021 Jousting Knights.
Please note, winners outside the Netherlands may be asked to contribute half of the shipping price for a prize.

April Tools
If you enjoy themed months like FebRovery or SHIPtember, you’re in luck: April Tools is now the month of replicas, so get ready to join the fun!
Deadline: April 30
Prize: No prizes, just fun. At least that’s what they said…

Looking for a springboard for a Great Ball Contraption! Get inspired by your choice of two seed parts!
Deadline: April 30th
Prize: Every entrant will receive a custom engraved brick for participating. First Place winner will receive 42121 Heavy Duty Excavator. Second Place will have their choice between 31091 Shuttle Transporter and 70420 Graveyard Mystery. Third Place will receive the unchosen second place set.

If you were inspired by our article on Dan Ko’s speeder bikes earlier this year, now is your chance to win one! Dan Ko, Ted Andes, and Cole Blaq are bringing back the speeder bike contest on Flickr, and BrickNerd is happy to be sponsoring prizes! Three themed categories to build in; Bounty Hunter, Musically Inspired, and Island Racing.
