Another month of competitive building is upon us! Are you ready? Here’s the latest batch of LEGO contests and challenges from all around the AFOL community for June 2022 to help you find some inspiration and motivation to build! There’s nothing quite like a theme or a prompt to take you out of your comfort zone and give you something new to try. Besides, contests are the perfect place to interact with other contestants and judges and get to know your fellow builders. And if you’re like me, a deadline helps make sure you actually finish!
We’ve listed them in order of deadline so you can plan your building time to the best advantage. Make sure to check the LEGO activity calendar for local challenges and events near you. Here at BrickNerd, some of our fondest memories, greatest building achievements, coolest trophies, and best friendships came from LEGO contests, so we really hope you try some of these out. We look forward to seeing what you build!
Build a new LEGO MOC based on modern warfare movies and films. Use of Brickmania products is encouraged but not required.
Deadline: June 6th

A multi-round contest with a focus on constraction creations themed around nature, the Bio-Cup is a great place to flex your character-building skills!
Deadline: Preliminary round ends June 7th @ 23:59 PDT
Prize: A plethora of prizes! First Place will receive a prototype LEGO piece, 71316 Umarak the Destroyer, 71312 Ekimu the Mask Maker, first pick between two sealed Galidor Sets, a custom-cast Socketball Mask, a $100 cash prize, and 1st place trophy!

LGBTQIA GayFOLs members around the world will be submitting entries to the Virtual Pride Parade. Show how you will celebrate Pride where you are. Stretch your building skills, get artistic, tell a story or build something meaningful. #GayFOLsPride2022
Deadline: June 26th

Your picture should have something to do with boats. But you can interpret this very freely. For example, it can be any type of boat: pirate ship, u-boat, raft, canoe, a floating box, a barrel, an inflatable donut, almost anything goes.
Deadline: June 28th
Prize: No prizes, just the fun of building with your LEGO!
Where to enter: Discord and Instagram
Create models celebrating your favorite songs from the Rolling Stones.
Deadline: June 30th
Prize: One Grand Prize winner will receive 31206 The Rolling Stones, 21329 Fender Stratocaster, 21332 The Globe, a $200 USD spending spree on LEGO.com and a prize package of The Rolling Stones goodies. Two runners up will also be selected.

Celebrate May the 4th with some Star Wars LEGO builds! Check out the categories and details in the dedicated thread on Eurobricks.
Deadline: June 30th
Prize: 12x12 Film Scene Recreation - First place wins the Imperial Armored Marauder, second place wins a custom figure;
Purist Minifigures - First place wins Luke Skywalker's X-Wing, second place wins a custom figure; Brick Built Creature - First place wins a set or sets with an equivalent value up to 100 Euro as their prize, second place wins one set with an equivalent value up to 40 Euro; Alphabet Fighter - First place wins a set or sets with an equivalent value up to 160 Euro as their prize, second place wins a set with an equivalent value up to 70 Euro as their prize; one Grand Admiral winner will receive a set or sets with an equivalent value up to 200 Euro as their prize.
Where to enter: Eurobricks
Build something each weekend using exactly the number of pieces corresponding to the date of the month! The later the date, the more pieces you have (but still not a lot!). The theme is “castle.”
Deadline: Various through June
Prize: No prizes, just the fun of building with your LEGO!
Where to enter: Instagram with #weekendbricklimit
Build a microscale version of your favorite LEGO set of all time (no third party IPs though!) to help celebrate LEGO’s 90th anniversary!
Deadline: July 7th (6:00 a.m. EST)
Prize: One grand prize winner will recieve the following LEGO sets: 11021 LEGO Classic 90 Years of Play, 10305 LEGO Icons Lion Knights’ Castle, 10497 LEGO Icons Galaxy Explorer, 40567 LEGO Forest Hideout (Gift with Purchase), and 30510 LEGO 90 Years of Cars

With six categories ranging from old favorites like 12x12 vignettes to big layouts, the Summer Joust has something for every medieval builder!
Deadline: July 31st
Prize: Many LEGO prizes from the Disney Castle to the Bonsai Tree and everything in between, including custom builds and trophies!

The craziest contest in all of Middle Earth is on the horizon. So the only thing left to do is decide what to do with the time that is given us.
Deadline: Contest begins in July, so TBD…
