Hammered Auto Repair Shop

If you are familiar with Final Fantasy, then you will recognize the Hammerhead Garage recreated by Joseph Z.  This build features many excellent details, like a trashy dumpster, crooked power lines, stable pallets, and fading lane divisions (courtesy of some nice sticker placement).  Can you spot any other ways he used stickers?  I am not familiar with the game myself, but I can appreciate the way this scene was created by Joseph.  To me, this scene almost has a post-apocalyptic vibe, which I always enjoy seeing in LEGO form.  Looking forward to seeing some more of these style creations from Joseph!

Nathaniel Stoner

My name is Nathaniel Stoner, and I am an very active LEGO builder.  I mostly build in the themes of castle and science-fiction, but I also dabble in other genres and create occasional random MOC's (My Own Creations).

When I was younger, I would get and build small LEGO sets for my birthday, but I was never really into them.  When they fell apart, I would become frustrated attempting to put them back together and would throw them in a box in my closet.  I couldn't stand them!

Then, miraculously, I became addicted to the LEGO brick later in my teen years.  Ever since, I have continued to build up (pun intended) my collection of bricks and to expand my knowledge of techniques and building skills.  LEGO is truly more than a toy, its an art form and a way to express yourself.

For the most part, I collect LEGO Star Wars (mainly the minifigs), which is probably my favorite LEGO theme.  I have a fairly decent collection, including some of the original 1999 sets, such as the Snowspeeder, X-Wing, and Naboo starfighter.  I also collected LEGO the Lord of the Rings when those sets first came out.  The minifigs are great, and the story remains one of my favorites ever.

My hope is to inspire other young (and perhaps even older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity!  You can find me on my Flikr here

Just Droning On

Everyone loves a good drone. But Devid VII took this already cool drone up a notch by putting it inside an awesome garage/workshop scene. The attention to detail in this is superb, from the bench vise and tool chest in the back to the band saw (at least, I think it's a band saw) in the corner. Not everyone takes the time to build such a realistic environment for their robots, which is a shame considering how cool this one is.

The creation...

Dream Garage

If you asked me what my dream garage would be filled with - Vespa scooters just might be the absolute last thing on my list. I would prefer mine to be filled with various iterations of twin-turbocharged 80's sports cars that dominated my bedroom wall when I was young. Yet, after seeing this masterful build by Andrea Lattazino, I'm not so sure anymore. The attention to detail in this MOC is stunning. Feast your eyes upon this, young builders, for within this build lies phenomenal technique, parts use, and color palette. Hats off to you, Andrea, for making me love Vespas.
