Quick Build #1: Hellboy

It's no secret that I'm a fan of the small builds. They are quick to do using only a few parts. I'm sure that some of you would love instructions once in a while for a small fun build with some kind of twist; an interesting technique or nifty parts.

This is how the idea for the series was born. From time to time, hopefully at least once a month, we will be releasing these so called Quick Builds with instructions.

The first one is obviously Hellboy, a character that I like very much, and is probably in my top 5 super heroes. Considering that Hellboy is around 6'11" or 210.82 cm (source Google), I would say that the scale is almost minifig.

These are the parts you will be needing to build your own Hellboy:

I started the build with the lamp holder element, 2 x bar with round plate and one round plate 1x2.

Initially, the small build looked like a robot head (it was all black) and I was going to build one. But then I switched to the red color, and it started to look more like an ape. This lead me to Hellboy. Once I added the round tile horns, the whole build came together very quickly.

EDIT: In the instructions I have rotated the red curved slope for the mouth. I like it better as shown in the main image, so if you want to have the same look, just rotate the slope 90 degrees. The slope is added in the 3rd image of the instructions.

Bonus idea: with the same technique for the head you can create different type of faces. Here's a quick Batman.
