Under The Sea

I mostly took a day off yesterday (I say mostly because I rarely take a whole day off) and just hung out with Mrs BrickNerd. We even took a little time to build the Belle and Beast Brickheadz. And then today I see that Swan Dutchman has built two characters from one of Mrs BrickNerd's all time favorite movies, The Little Mermaid, so I just had to share. Here is Ariel and Ursula, done to perfection.

It's Better Down Where It's Wetter

It never fails to amaze me what a simple seed part can inspire. This magical MOC depicting the undersea world of Disney's The Little Mermaid all stems from the black fan you see on Tritan's tail. That's the seed part in this round of the ABS Builder Challenge, and that's all builder Nuju Metro needed to inspire all of this.

King Triton And Ariel

Mrs BrickNerd is a huge Little Mermaid fan, so this one instantly caught my eye. And while it's a departure from the Disney aesthetic I really like builder LEGO 7's take on the Sea King and his princess daughter. The complex layering of multiple LEGO systems gives this MOC a curious combination of solidity and fluidity, something you'd expect from a strong undersea character.

Disney Princess Ornaments

I absolutely love these, and I know Mrs. BrickNerd will too. Builder 'rolli is getting ready for Christmas with these adorable Disney princess ornaments. There's Leia (yeah, she's technically a Disney princess now), Ariel, Snow White, Tiana and of course Elsa and Anna. I just might have to recreate these for our house, they're awesome.
