A Decade Of Bumblebee

Builder Orion Pax has a knack for turning LEGO VW Beetles into transforming Autobots, namely Bumblebee. Below we see his latest version, rooted in LEGO 10252, but below that (and dating back ten years!) is his rendition based on LEGO 10187.

Just about an hour ago as I was leaving Starbucks I spotted a bright yellow Camero in the parking lot with the license place "BUZZZZ" and chuckled to myself. Then I refresh my Flickr feed and discover this stunning offering from builder Cesbrick. Say what you will about Michael Bay (and I've said plenty, I've worked with the dude) but this character resonates with a whole lot of people.

Eternally Floating

Ah, Iron Builder. No event draws out such a selection of high quality builds so quickly as a round of Iron Builder - and a new one has just begun! This month's challenger Grant Davis has just posted his first build with the "balloon" pieces; a lovely, serene scene of a lily-pad on a pond. This is only the first of what I'm sure will be plenty of great builds posted over the next month, and I can't wait to see what else Grant and his opponent come up with as the competition heats up!
