Zombie Sandwich

When sandwiches attack, tonight at 11! This is a pretty cool MOC for Beyond The Brick's Sandwich contest. I mean really, can you go wrong with zombies? Even if they are bread, lettuce and tomato?

Stormtalon

I don't play Warhammer, so I'm admittedly a bit ignorant of the ships in it. But I like this MOC. It's almost chibi in it's chunkiness and has some great details and building. Check out the inside-out tires on the engines, and the nozzles on the bottom. And all the angles are well handled. Nice little MOC.

Kaiser Wilhelm Medizinische Akademie

This is a really nice building MOC, but what really makes it is the presentation. Vintage photograph simulation is difficult to master, usually overdone or just misses the mark. But this is very well done indeed. Just enough sepia and desaturation to age, just enough blur and haze to age, just enough texture to sell it. All that and a beautiful building as well, I like it. Double Zoinks!

When I blogged the Mystery Machine yesterday I had no idea it was part of a larger display, and I mean a much larger display. This thing is huge and hugely awesome. Check out all the detail, there's monsters and ghoulies everywhere you look, and check out that haunted house! I need to learn French so I can read all about this.

Jumpin' Jupiter!

This is a seriously cool commission for the CNES (French space agency) by Damien Labrousse. It even has a working screen with a launch countdown and a sound system. How freaking cool is that?

This Mystery Machine is adorable. I grew up watching the antics of Scooby and the gang. Sure it was formulaic, yes it was predictable, of course Daphne is the hot one (the movie turned that one on it's head eh?) but everyone really watched for Shaggy and Scooby. The best total coward heroes ever created. Nice work Kloou, now I'm craving Scooby Snacks.

The Wonka Collaborative

I didn't get to Brickworld this year, and MOCs like these make me regret it. This is the Wonka Collaborative, from Dave Kaleta, Max Pointner, Ian Spacek and Paul Vermeesch. I started blogging them individually, but's that's kinda nuts (don't touch that squirrel's nuts!) so there's all here in one gigantic post. There's too much to go into so I'll just say, look!

Luxury Half-track

The girls of Friends know luxury when they see it, and they know firepower when they wield it. This is another Friends vs Fabuland MOC and it's awesome. I rarely laugh out loud when browsing Flickr, but this one got me. Love it. 

A Black Beauty

Seeing Der Steinadler navigating this small asteroid field I can hear the dramatic music in my head. It's like the illegitimate love child of Doc Brown's flying steam train and Jabba's sail barge, with a slick black paint job. I wanna swoosh it.

Ba Ba Ba, Ba Ba Na Na

This is a brilliant little MOC. With very few pieces (and the 1x4 smiley) Flickr user AC Pin manages to capture all the character of a minion. The photograph isn't the greatest, but it's cool and cute enough I had to blog it. And the next time I run across a smiley, I'll probably have to make my own.

Great Googly Moogly!

That's a big MOC. That's a really big MOC. But size alone does not impress me, in fact I think there's too much emphasis on size sometimes. Big does not really equal great. But in this case, holy moly there's a lot to love. This is a collaborative build by oLaF LM, 74louloute and 6kyubi6 for "Fana'Briques 2013". It's immense, and there's detail everywhere you look. It has a cool steampunk meets medieval vibe I've never really seen and it works. More pics after the jump.

Castle Dracula

These walls are texturiffic. The combination of grays, the profile bricks, the occasional stud and round makes for very rich detail. What would be a fairly simple, boxy castle is transformed into a very nice piece. The addition of snow details adds story and life to it as well.

Excuse me while I shake my head in disbelief. How in the world have I not seen work by Arjan Oude Kotte before? I'm scrolling through his photostream and it's one amazing ship after another.  Like this one... holy cow!

"Wreck Town" Hand Cannon

Here's a nifty little firearm. It sort of reminds me of Hellboy's gun Good Samaritan with a cool sci-fi look. It's got a working dot sight, top-break design, positionable hammer and a number of other cool features. Check out other pics and a video after the jump.

E-MOTE

Legohaulic brings us another brilliant little MOC. This one is an expressive and posable robot. He's promising more pictures in the coming days so I will add more to this post as they come. I can see how a little rotation on those paint bucket eyes is instant eyebrow expressions, I look forward to what else we'll see.

I have to confess ignorance of the origins of this mech, and some quick Google searches left me even more confused. Regardless, I like the pose, the color, the build and the photography. And if I like it, it gets blogged :-)

St. Gwydre's Church

This is gorgeous. Excellent building, excellent photography and excellent processing. This is the total package people. From a thumbnail you would swear it's just a picture of an old church. Not that this is the true goal of any MOC, but in this case it just doesn't get much better.  Outstanding work.

T52 Tweezer

I can't decide if this is a glimpse of the future, or a thing of nightmares. Either way it's really cool. Inspired by artwork by Keith Thompson (definitely more on the nightmare side), Piotr H. brings us this sinewy beast.

Jake and Elwood never looked better than they do posing in front of this genius reproduction of the Bluesmobile. Yeah, it's not the Caddie. Yeah, Jake just got out of the joint. Yeah, it's a used police car. But it's got a lot of pick-up, a cop motor, cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks and it'll run on regular...just needs a new cigarette lighter.
