Kaneda's Bike

Akira, the landmark animated feature that introduced so many to the wonderful world of anime. And Kaneda's bike, everyone's favorite thing in that movie. There have been many, many versions of this built in LEGO, but few very successfully at Minifig scale. This one by Tiler is perhaps the most successful ever constructed. And now you can build your own because he shared some instructions!

Harley "Bagger" Rat Bike

Have you ever heard of a custom style known as rat bikes? It's where you customize your bike, but go for a practical or unfinished look. Usually it's primer, sometimes there's rust, but they're all meant to ride and they all have personality. These aren't show bikes, they're cobbled together from spare parts, made functional (and presumed legal), gassed up and on the road. They're the product of love, and so is this 1/10th scale rat bike from bricksonwheels, gritty magnificence.

Keeping Up With The Jones'

This is one of my favorite scenes in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Indy and his dad's daring escape via motorcycle and sidecar. The scene has everything, excitement, drama, humor and some great stunts. I mean, who doesn't like watching Nazi's crash motorcycles? Builder Mad physicist perfectly captures the moment with this brilliant MOC. 

Harley Davidson Cali Style Lowrider

When I saw the work in progress shot of this beast I knew we were all in for something special, and I was right. This is one of the best motorcycle MOCs I've ever seen. I've always had an admiration for custom Harleys, they have a style which makes them instantly recognizable yet totally unique, and builder bricksonwheels has captured that. The color selections here, from the contrasting greens to the custom chromed and gold plated elements make this one spectacular piece of art.

Sidecar

I know I don't feature enough Technic on this site, I have no excuse. But this motorcycle with sidecar by the amusingly named Hirnlego-lego-lego-lego totally caught my eye this morning. Perhaps is because it's got a cool retro vibe to it, but more likely because it reminds me of the MST3K episode The Sidehackers.

Kenada's Bike

One of the coolest and most iconic things in the anime classic Akira is Kenada's Bike. It was on the poster, on the VHS and on every fan's mind. Builder Tiler has crafted this minifig scale version with working wheels, and it looks awesome. Yeah, there's a little Photoshop magic happening here, but I'm totally ok with that.

Copperhead Steam Powered Bike

As any discerning gentleman knows, getting there in style and reliably is paramount. The Martins Copperhead Steam Powered Bike is as powerful as any $2000 gasoline powered motor vehicle on the market. Two cycle steam generates over eight horses of power and can tops speeds of 15 miles per hour. The Extended saddle comfortable seats one or two. Can be refueled in less than five minutes.

Bad To The Bones

From the "whop whop whop" at the street light to the roar of the engine as it takes off and from the tassels hanging from the grips to the glisten of the chrome, nothing is like a Harley. Bricksonwheels captures the essence of the HOG in this beautiful MOC.

Vulcan 800

This is a beautiful MOC. Very clean, clever building and attention to detail. I especially like the engine, it's so easy to overbuild and detract from the rest of the model, or under build and lose the realism. This strikes the perfect balance.
