Midnight Snack

Even the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy gets a little peckish in the middle of the night. Luckily he keeps his Han Solo in carbonite fridge stocked with ice cold bantha milk according to builder storm TK431. Which makes me wonder, do you suppose you could make eggnog with bantha milk? I know it’s not traditional, and sorta clashes with the red and green motif of Christmas, but could be yummy!

The Most Feared Bounty Hunter In The Galaxy

Science has not been able to adequately describe or justify the popularity of Boba Fett. When The Empire Strikes Back came out in 1980 he was already a legend, having been the subject of much anticipation as an mail-in action figure. Then he was in the movie for a grand total of less than seven minutes and spoke 27 words…And we didn’t care at all, he was AWESOME. Speaking of awesome, check out this bust by bruceywan, he did the bounty hunter justice.

YT-Slave 1

Cecilie Fritzvold took two iconic ships from the Star Wars universe, and though the ships may oppose each other, combined them into something rather creative. Built for racing, not fighting, "the Boba" is a combo (obviously) of the Slave I and the Falcon. The unusual blending of sand green, red, and gray is a very interesting design choice. It also appears to be at a challenging scale, yet Cecilie pulled off many of the iconic details quite well.

Nathaniel Stoner

My name is Nathaniel Stoner, and I am an very active LEGO builder.  I mostly build in the themes of castle and science-fiction, but I also dabble in other genres and create occasional random MOC's (My Own Creations).

When I was younger, I would get and build small LEGO sets for my birthday, but I was never really into them.  When they fell apart, I would become frustrated attempting to put them back together and would throw them in a box in my closet.  I couldn't stand them!

Then, miraculously, I became addicted to the LEGO brick later in my teen years.  Ever since, I have continued to build up (pun intended) my collection of bricks and to expand my knowledge of techniques and building skills.  LEGO is truly more than a toy, its an art form and a way to express yourself.

For the most part, I collect LEGO Star Wars (mainly the minifigs), which is probably my favorite LEGO theme.  I have a fairly decent collection, including some of the original 1999 sets, such as the Snowspeeder, X-Wing, and Naboo starfighter.  I also collected LEGO the Lord of the Rings when those sets first came out.  The minifigs are great, and the story remains one of my favorites ever.

My hope is to inspire other young (and perhaps even older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity!  You can find me on my Flikr here

The Most Feared Bounty Hunter

He is the stuff of legends. Think about it, Boba Fett has been tantalizing us since 1979. First we mailed away to get a figure, just to discover his rocket didn't shoot. Then he became our favorite character with only a couple of lines and brief scenes. Then he was dispatched unceremoniously in the sarlaac pit in Jedi, only to have supposedly escaped in the expanded universe. Then his origin was revealed and his voice changed, what the heck? Regardless, he's still a badass, and everyone loves him, especially builder nobu_tary, who created this awesome MOC.

Star Wars "Midifigs"

This is a project I've been watching for a while, Miro78's "Midifigs". It's a cool new scale for upsizing your favorite minifigs. I really like the scale of these, they're big enough to get some fun detail in, but small enough to not take up too much space. Just about perfect for displaying on a bookshelf or desktop. I'm sure it's a challenge to get the forms and details needed, but that's also part of the fun.

Bounty Hunters, We Don't Need Their Scum

This MOC, inspired by one of my favorite movies of all time, The Empire Strikes Back, make me happy and confused at the same time. Of course anything Star Wars gives me a warm fuzzy, so that explains the happiness. But why Bossk has been seemingly replaced by Han Solo is totally baffling to me. Explain yourself Burglarhobbit.

Update: It turns out part of the contest this was submitted to dictated that you include "yourself" in the MOC. So this is Burglarhobbit, dressed as Han Solo, making a cameo (I'm sure it still confused Vader to no end).
