Granny Weatherwax & Nanny Ogg

Builder Pate-keetongu is back with some more characters from his ever-expanding cast of characters from the venerable Discworld. This time around it's Granny Weatherwax & Nanny Ogg, and of course I still haven't read the books yet so I have no idea who they are. But as every character is added to his collection, I become more and more fascinated and curious.

Cheery Littlebottom

I've never read any of the Discworld books, but the more I learn about them, the more fascinated (and confused) I get. For instance, this figure by Pate-keetongu is Sergeant Cheery Littlebottom, a former forensic alchemist and the first openly female dwarf of Ankh-Morpork City. Yes, under the beard and all the armor and leather, that's a female. Apparently all dwarves are traditionally 'male', and bearded,  but there are both male and females of course, or how would they procreate? Another intriguing but baffling facet of this book series and universe.

Captain Carrot Ironfoundersson

Master character builder Pate-keetongu is back with another marvelous character from Discworld. And of course I still haven't read the books so I really can't say very much about that aspect. What I can say is this is a fantastic character build. The combination of the silver armor and dark red cape and tunic is very regal. Read more about him on Eero's website.

Discworld

I vividly remember the first time Discworld was described to me. "There's this world, more like a couple continents and a small ocean, and it's flat. And that's being held up by four ginormous elephants, seriously huge. And that in turn sits on the back of a even more ginormouser sea turtle...in space." I can't say I can really wrap my head around it, but this MOC by Fa Brique helps.

Born To Rune

I must confess I know nothing about Discworld, and in my present state of frenzy I have no time to fake it with a quick google search. But this marvelous MOC by Pate-keetongu popped up on the screen saver of my AppleTV here in the studio and I was instantly captivated. I'll have to go back later and learn more about him, but in the mean time I'll just admire his eccentric outfit and outstanding details.
