Happy Easter!

There will be no Easter baskets at our house this year, for the first time in over at least 25 years. This is because we’ll be celebrating aboard the Disney Wonder, which is a pretty good reason. But if the Easter Bunny visits your house today I hope he brings plenty of yummy treats, colorful eggs and of course LEGO. Speaking of the Easter Bunny, check out this wonderful creation by Swan Dutchman. And while you’re at it, see if you can identify the two LEGO themes represented by the two smaller eggs (Easter egg Easter eggs, get it?)

With the Easter holiday only one week away, JK Brickworks prepared yet another fantastic mechanized model to celebrate!  If you're not familiar with Jason's work, you need to check out more of his models featured on his YouTube channel.  The detailing on this MOC is very nice, especially that nest using a mix of tiles and plates.  Though the detailing is outstanding, you can't fully appreciate it until you see the action.  Happy Easter!

Nathaniel Stoner

     My name is Nathaniel Stoner, and I am an very active LEGO builder.  I mostly build in the themes of castle and science-fiction, but I also dabble in other genres and create occasional random MOC's (My Own Creations). 

     When I was younger, I would get and build small LEGO sets for my birthday, but I was never really into them.  When they fell apart, I would become frustrated attempting to put them back together and would throw them in a box in my closet.  I couldn't stand them!

     Then, miraculously, I became addicted to the LEGO brick later in my teen years.  Ever since, I have continued to build up (pun intended) my collection of bricks and to expand my knowledge of techniques and building skills.  LEGO is truly more than a toy, its an art form and a way to express yourself.

     For the most part, I collect LEGO Star Wars (mainly the minifigs), which is probably my favorite LEGO theme.  I have a fairly decent collection, including some of the original 1999 sets, such as the Snowspeeder, X-Wing, and Naboo starfighter.  I also collected LEGO the Lord of the Rings when those sets first came out.  The minifigs are great, and the story remains one of my favorites ever. 

     My hope is to inspire other young (and perhaps even older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity!  You can find me on my Flikr here.

...STOMPING down the bunny trail. I hope you were looking for sturdy stuff in your Easter basket this year, because I don't think eggs and hollow chocolate bunnies are going to be compatible with the Easter Bunny's new ride thanks to builder IamKritch. It's a good thing Peeps can stand pretty much whatever punishment you can throw at them.

Jeweled Eggs

I've never really been able to wrap my head around the Fabergé Eggs. I mean I understand sprucing things up, maybe even making the mundane magnificent, but eggs? That was until I saw these jeweled egg MOCs from builder Koen. If those famous Russian eggs opened to reveal cute little minifig scenes then it would have made a whole lot more sense to me, at least around Easter maybe.

LEGO mechanical genius JKBrickworks is back with another fantastic project that you can build yourself, just in time for easter! The egg decorating machine is a fairly simple gadget and has been around for ages, I remember playing with the "Decoregger" when I was a kid, but with the addition of LEGO EV3, it's all the more fun. It's Easter morning. I noticed the bunny was here and I spotted some LEGO in my basket. Soon the house will smell like spiral cut ham and I'll be gorging on chocolate and playing with bricks, does it get any better? I didn't notice if there were any Peeps in my basket, but I think I like these from Siercon and Coral better anyway. Happy Easter everyone!
