Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Into Space

As if the massive fluctuations in temperature, radiation, micro meteorites, space junk and the relentless vacuum of space wasn't enough, now there's another reason not to venture outside our atmosphere and gravitational pull...space sharks. Of course if they're as eye catching and awesome as this one from David_Alexander_Smith, at least you'll have a few seconds of sincere appreciation and awe, before you're devoured.

Nom Nom Nom

A renown oceanographer once remarked "what we are dealing with here is a perfect engine, an eating machine. It's really a miracle of evolution. All this machine does is swim and eat and make little sharks, and that's all" (ok, it was Hooper in Jaws, but it's still a great quote). Jaws 3D

This MOC hits close to home because one of my specialties in the movie biz is stereography (3D). I've had a life-long fascination with it ever since I got my first View-Master. But I do recall the dubious flirtation in the 80's with 3D, and it wasn't nearly as good as it is now. And I remember this movie in particular, it was terrible. That look on grampa's face in this wonderful MOC by eyescream54 isn't because he's scared the shark is gonna get him, it's because the bad vertical alignment, crosstalk and retinal rivalry of the film has given him a migraine (hooray for technical terms!)

Sharknado!

When I saw Iain's comment about Sharknado on Facebook, I had a stinking suspicion we would all be appreciating something like this soon. Iain, you never fail to crack me up.
