Since I haven't seen the new Star Trek series (because CBS sucks and only has it on their own awful online service) I have to admit I didn't know if this was an official design when I first saw it. After reading Ben "Spaceship!" Smith's description I see it's an entirely original design, but the fact that I couldn't tell just says how good this is.
