Read MoreSmooth, elegant curves is the best way to describe this wonderful starship by Tyler. Perhaps it's just me, but the colors and design seem to remind me of the Milano from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, which is the ship that belongs to Peter Quill. I could picture the minifigure of Star-Lord sitting in the cockpit of this beautiful craft. Looking forward to more space crafts from you, Tyler!
Looks like our pal Nick Trotta's been busy with this impressive fighter for the Nnovvember contest. He was inspired of course by the Vic Viper design, a ship from the Yukikaze anime, and an F-117. I encourage you to click on the picture to see the high resolution image. The details, color blocking and a crafty angle changes are a real treat. How the heck did he do that? Well, it's Nick, so naturally there's a video. Wicked!
Every once in a while a ship comes along that just screams to be swooshed. You know what I mean, you just wish you could reach into the screen, grab ahold of it, pull it out and run around the room making ridiculous but totally satisfying spaceship sounds and flying it with one hand (and in my case closing one eye and pretend the other is a camera). Today, this marvelous Vic Viper by builder Tim Schwalfenberg is that ship.
Mark Stafford has come up with a nifty Viper design, just as Nnovvember draws to a close. What really caught my attention was the cockpit detail shot. But the beefy guns and saucer wings create some dramatic visual interest as well.
There's still time, boys and girls, to build your own! Pascal will be stitching together a poster of all the Vic Vipers, so follow his instructions if you want to be a part of it. Unless you're still recovering from a Turkey Coma or Black Friday shopping...
Novvember is drawing to a close, but Vic Vipers are still popping up. This one by lego_nabii challenges the normal proportions to great effect. That forward facing canopy and rounded fuselage is pretty nifty too.
Vic Vipers are aplenty these days, and it's hard to stand out in the crowd. But this one from stenertje caught my eye. It has a utilitarian and gritty nature to it. I really like the cockpit and that broken dish just adds to the grunge, very cool.
