The Four Devine Beasts

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is one of my all time favorite games. It’s been over two years since it came out and I’m still playing it on occasion and I still have things to do. While it was a pretty drastic departure from other Zelda games, the spirit was the same, and I really can’t get enough of it. One of the biggest differences is the lack of dungeons and introduction of the Devine Beasts (which, let’s face it, were pretty much dungeons). Each one was unique and they’re represented here in fine form by builder speedyhead. This makes me want to break out the controller right now!

Poe Spirit

One of the many iconic enemies from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time were the Poe Spirits. Julius von Bronk has captured their devious aura in bricks, complete with lantern and spectral smoke trail. I especially love the detailing on the tattered hood. Now I want to dust off my N64 and explore Hyrule!

Smashin'

The other day I blogged about Mike Dung’s fun Kirby and Meta Knight builds, and he’s returned with more renditions of the Smashin’ Bros. Mario and Link look great (love that Hylian shield), but my personal favorite is Mr. Game & Watch; he’s absolutely perfect.

Smash Bros.

I’ve been playing the new Super Smash Bros. quite a bit. I’m not good at it by any means, but I’m having a blast. Mike Dung has captured Kirby and Meta Knight’s likenesses in bricks perfectly. Kirby is adorable, and the technique Mike used to make Meta Knight’s wings are absolutely brilliant. Who’s down for a match?

Super Mario Odyssey

Daniel Church is back with another iconic flying vessel from a video game, this time the Odyssey from Super Mario Odyssey (one of the best Mario games ever). Daniel captured the look of the ship perfectly, and the custom Mario fig (with Cappy!) is a nice touch. Jump Up, Superstar! 

Bowser

Mario Bros. is one of my all-time favorite video game series, in large part due to its diverse cast of fun, unique characters. One of which is Bowser, Mario's long-time arch nemesis and general thorn-in-the-side. Nathanial has immortalized King Koopa himself in bricks, and it's fantastic. Gotta love him posing with the infamous Blue Koopa shell.
