BrickNerd 2021: Numbers and New Years Resolutions

One year ago, we launched the new and improved BrickNerd with the goals to share the creativity of fellow LEGO builders, to tell the stories behind the bricks, to share experiences from the hobby, and to increase the connections within the LEGO community. And what a year it has been!

We are deeply moved by the reception and enthusiasm for what we are doing. We do this for you, our peers and readers in the LEGO community, to help learn from and preserve the deep and rich knowledge that we collectively share. So what better way to mark the occasion than to share a bit on where we are headed in 2022 and do a little nerdy analysis on ourselves!?

New Years Resolutions

So what can you expect from BrickNerd in 2022? Well, more of the same quality content that you’ve come to expect from us! We’re already working on more nerdy articles, more contests, more partnerships and more swag which will be revealed soon.

In terms of changes, there are a few on the horizon. First and foremost, we are going to take our foot off the gas a little bit. We’ve published so much content at such a breakneck speed this year that we’ve heard our dedicated readers want a little bit more time to read everything. We’ll be adjusting our publishing schedule to address that and to help provide a bit more breathing room.

We are also looking into ways to make our past articles a bit more accessible, creating a searchable archive or directory to help our readers find and navigate the content more easily. You’ll also be seeing some new BrickNerd contributors join the team and a few who are moving on to other amazing things. Before long, we’ll have an awesome group of BrickNerd alumni!

Thanks to You

So that’s what BrickNerd has accomplished this past year and where we are heading in the future. We couldn’t do all of this without the countless hours of research and writing from our contributors, the support from our amazing Patrons, and the enthusiasm from all of you who visit BrickNerd.

If you want to get involved or support us as we head into 2022, we’d love to have you as part of the BrickNerd contributor team or as one of our Patrons. Or you can help out by making a donation, using our affiliate codes or by simply sharing the articles you enjoy with your friends.

Thanks again, and Happy New Year from the entire team at BrickNerd!
