The Secret Adventures of LEGO Minifigs: It’s Christmas Time!

Milk and … carrots? reindeer sisters’ menu!

Some time ago, we shared some stories that I created using figures from the Collectible Minifigures Series 23 that the LEGO Group so generously provided to BrickNerd. As you could tell from reading Part 1 & Part 2, I had so much fun exploring all of their storytelling possibilities!

Today we conclude those stories with some minifigures that are ready to celebrate the Christmas holiday. Let us gather together around the cozy fireplace, enjoying some milk and cookies with Santa Claus as we listen to their tales of wonder.

The Magic of the Season

Despite its reputation, winter can be a very warm season when you can spend it with friends. Santa Claus has time to enjoy all of the festive preparations for the season because his little friends, the elves, are the ones making the real Christmas miracles happen. Happy and touched by their devotion, he blesses their village homes with special magic that makes the gifts they create for each other contain wonderful surprises!

Look how Carol, Santa’s most devoted elf, suspects nothing while making a snowman out in front of her little home. The magical miracle Santa granted her, meanwhile, is almost ready to come to life...

“Hey Santa! Come look at this fantastic Snowman I made to decorate your home!”

“Hey Santa!”

And then to Carol’s surprise, her gift for Santa sprang to life and he hopped right down the street to talk with him.

“Seasons Greetings, Mr. Santa sir,” said the snowman with a tip of his stovepipe hat. “I feel so special with Carol’s best scarf wrapped around my neck… why, you could even say I feel like a new man.”

And with that, the snowman started strolling down the village streets with Carol and Santa, singing Christmas carols all along the way. With his boundless enthusiasm, he helped all the elves wrap their frosty North Pole village in a blanket of wonderfully warm holiday lights.

Deer Friends

Ginger the Reindeer enjoys this special time of year as well. In her warmest reindeer regalia, she loves to bake gingerbread cookies to give to all of her friends. She makes them in all of the various shapes of the holiday season; Christmas trees, snowmen, snowflakes and stockings… and sweethearts too!

“Wait! What kind of magic is this?!” Just as Ginger finished decorating her gingerbread house with a gumdrop frosting trim, a warm glowing light appeared through the windows!

Ginger’s gingerbread home had become filled with the warmest of holiday wishes! Santa must have blessed her home as well and made certain to charm her kitchen. As she wrapped every edible gift that she previously baked, she noticed that they were still warm to the touch, as if they were freshly made. With Santa’s magical blessing, Ginger’s baked goods will never get cold. Once her dear friends open the gift boxes she placed under their Christmas trees, they will find Ginger’s heartwarming cookies placed lovingly inside and ready to eat.

What a heartwarming gesture!

Let’s Decorate, and Celebrate!

All around “Christmas Town”, everyone gets into the holiday spirit. Even the Nutcracker can be found redecorating his living room. This year, it looks like he decided to build a huge Santa sculpture to place next to his even larger Christmas tree!

“Silver and gold. Silver and gold. Everyone wishes for silver and gold…”

With Santa’s village now warmly decorated in holiday lights and with gingerbread gifts placed under the Christmas trees, it is time for everyone to come celebrate together. Carol has a special way to invite guests to her home to celebrate Christmas. Santa gave her a magical snow globe that displays every corner of the North Pole village, including all of their friends’ houses.

Looking inside the snow globe, she sees the Nutcracker standing outside his home, inviting Santa to come look at his wonderful decorations. She thinks to herself, “Oh, I should invite the Nutcracker over!” Shaking the magical globe, Carol caused the snow inside to swirl around the Nutcracker… and then a moment later, she magically hears a knock at the front door - he has arrived!

Even when beckoned by surprise, the Nutcracker never comes into a home empty-handed. The nuts he always carries with him make for great decorations on the Christmas tree… assuming the Nutcracker hasn’t cracked them all first! 😬 Another knock at the door, and Carol’s friend Ginger has now arrived. She doesn’t mind seeing all the cracked nuts laying around the tree, as she loves to add them to many of her baked goods.

Ginger also loves the smell of the wonderfully basted turkey cooking in the oven. “Carol, this turkey looks delicious! I hope you didn’t invite any wolves over as I don’t think they could ever resist gobbling it all up!”

With their preparations now complete, they lift a cup of eggnog and give a toast to everyone for a job well done. Santa’s friendly team did an awesome job this year… “Let’s celebrate!”

And with that dear readers, our collection of minifig tales have come to an end. I wish each of you a magical Holiday Season! Be sure to invite these amazing characters into your homes to celebrate with you, as you will certainly never feel bored. I hope you enjoyed all their adventures as much as I did creating these scenes and writing about them for you!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!
