Every once in a while you need to change things up. Try building in a genre you haven't, use those 1250 blue slopes that were such a deal, dust off the Bionicle, branch out. Builder Rogue Bantha is doing that by exploring color, and I have to say the results are impressive so far. This cruiser is so clean and appealing, with an unusual combination of colors.
I've always wanted to play with one of these, but the opportunity has never been there. I cut my teeth on early hip-hop and electro, with the likes of RUN DMC, Newcleus and Sugar Hill Gang (yes, I used to break dance too, that was a LONG time ago). This half-scale twin Technics setup by delta.triangle makes me want to break out my vinyl.

Check out this detailed and functional LEGO reproduction of a classic 80's cartoon robot by승훈 이. He's got all the poses, too, not only for Voltron, but all of the individual Lions. "Form Blazing Sword!"
I don't recall if I went to see The Spy Who Loved Me at the theater or not, It came out the same year as Star Wars and I did see a lot of movies back then. What I do recall is watching Bond climb into this lovely machine and speed away, and the collective jaw-drop as it turned into a sub later in the film. That was the very first time I remember seeing a car on screen and thinking "oh I gotta have me one of those". It's still one of my favorite 007 moments, and now it's one of my favorite MOC moments thanks to EROL.
I hope you have your dancing shoes on (I'm gonna break out the parachute pants too) because Mr Robot Boom Box Dude is here and it's time to do the Rick Dance! Fans of Rick and Morty might recognize this, and anyone who's ever laid down the cardboard for a battle wishes they had one of these. Nicely done onosendai2600.
If someone told me you could convey the logo for JJ Abrams' production company Bad Robot in around 22 parts I would have been skeptical. Yet here it is courtesy of builder Takamichi Irie. I love it when so few parts can come together to create something instantly recognizable, very clever. I've been wondering how this and the Disney logo will factor in to the classic Star Wars film opening, I guess we'll find out in just over a month (!!!)
You just have to wonder about theme park operators and giant, dangerous, prehistoric beasts. Haven't those guys seen those other two movies? Anyway, feast your eyes on this truly epic MOC by markus19840420, it's part of a collaboration with Disco86 and absolutely jaw dropping. Normally I would wait until everything was posted and then feature, but I was so blown away by this I had to share. Stay tuned for the whole collaboration coming soon.
The latest Iron Builder rages on, and if history is any indication, both builders should be equipped with one of these little babies by cmaddison, because the pressure is 'building' (see what I did there?) I've personally never competed, and I don't think I ever will. Because I'd be redlining from the start and probably blow a gasket by week two .
A cooling of the air, a wisp of wind from the north, warm colors on the trees and pumpkin spice at Starbucks, must be fall. Builder Pate-keetongu is celebrating the seasons in a series of builds, this one is fall, and she's a beauty. The blend of Bionicle and System parts here is flawless, the color use is perfect and the sculpting is divine, what a lovely season this is.
Sorry to stoop to potty humor, but this interior vignette by Mark van der Maarel is too good not to share. There's so many fun details and clever construction in this MOC, and I can't decide what's my favorite. I'll leave it up to you all to pick yours.
Cast Away is a remarkable bit of filmmaking, if you haven't seen in, I highly recommend it. It breaks many of the "rules" but works so very well. And one of the characters is so unconventional, well, you just have to see it to understand. Builder jtheels understands, and this LEGO version of Wilson is absolutely brilliant.
Star Wars The Force Awakens is still over a month away (I can hardly take it!) but there's no shortage of EP7 inspired MOCs these days. I think it's awesome we have another three movies coming to excite and inspire builders, we're going to see some awesome stuff in the coming months and years. Like this mind-blowing life-size BB-8 by mdoupe! This little droid has certainly caught the imagination of the world, and we haven't even seen the movie yet.
Ah the teddy bear, steadfast defender of children for over 100 years, and into the future. Builder Si-MOCs shows us just what goes on behind the scenes as hard suit and mecha teddies fearlessly battle nightmares in their ongoing struggle.
The anticipation for Fallout 4 is hitting fever pitch, and the MOCs inspired by it are already making their way online. This one by builder 'rolli almost slipped by it's so good. I genuinely skimmed right past it at first thinking it was just concept art, it was only the top of the rocket that caught my eye at the last microsecond. Wow, what a build and what a shot, perfect!
I've spent SO much time over the last couple years engrossed in the world of Gotham and Batman, so much so I'm frankly a bit burned out. But this wonderful microscale Batman set got me instantly excited, so there's still some hope for me. I LOVE this, all the tiny details, all the figures, all the vehicles and play features, it's awesome. I generally try to avoid posting LEGO Ideas stuff, but I would love to see this actually made. Leave it to builder vitreolum to not only bring these classic fairytale princesses to life in brick, but to make them downright...sexy. Whether it's Snow White being tempted with a poison apple, Red Riding Hood getting creeped on by Big Bad Wolf or Repunzel getting all wrapped up with hair (and nothing else), all of these MOCs are gorgeous.
Leave it to paddybricksplitter to successfully shrink the Ghostbusters headquarters into a 16x16 footprint. Despite it's relatively small size, it's instantly recognizable and totally iconic. There's even a pretty pesky poltergeist that's just itching to be trapped.
what do you do when your plastic cuckoo clock breaks? Build a new, better one out of LEGO of course! That's exactly what builder Miro78 has done and as you can see the results are brilliant. There's no little birdie, and the weights are just for show, but it's still a functioning clock, and a fine looking one I might add.
Feast your eyes on this (and I hope they're hungry, it might take a while). Builder Pierre Import / T1MEK0DE has put together a truly colossal and stunning interior inspired by Fallout, and you're going to love it. Even if you haven't played the game (guilty) there's so much to like here it's worth the time to check out all the pictures. And if you're having a hard time judging the scale, find the minifigure hiding in there.
