Ah Santa, what an amazing fella'. To think that he can deliver presents to all the good little kiddos on planet earth it one night boggles the mind. Does he have some kind of warp sleigh, teleportation device, or thousands of Santa drones? Who knows, but he gets the job done.
This is a seriously eye-grabbing MOC. The tag team tournament at BrickPirate.net is challenging builders to build their avatars in graffiti mode. I love the use of the lime green against the black, it's contrasty and dynamic.
If you've seen Disney's Frozen, you are probably now in love with it's diminutive comic relief, Olaf. From his warm hugs to his fascination with summer, and from his witty one-liners to his continual reconfiguration, he steals the show. BrickJournal's own Joe Meno took his love to the next level and built Olaf in bricks...and took him to his favorite place, the beach.
This is positively gorgeous. There is a fair amount of custom parts on this holiday train by Orion Pax, and it's so much the better for it. The color combinations and chrome gold accents come together in an absolutely lovely presentation.
A window, a simple thing, yet so masterfully created by Seth Christie for his Night Before Christmas series. I believe this is the first time I have seen a double hung window created in LEGO bricks. The shutters, the siding, the window and the excellent choice of minifig configuration bring this set all together and add life to what otherwise could have been a boring build.
Mark of Falworth is one of my favorite castle builders, and builds like this are the reason why. It's not just a matter of scale, detail, story or clever part use that takes a MOC to the next level. It's a marriage of all the right elements in harmonious balance. This is a thing of beauty.

It's hard to believe this movie is already twenty years old. I still have vivid memories of seeing it for the first time. I was absolutely blown away. The animation, the characters, the imagination, the music. It was a perfect storm that the world wasn't quite ready for. But it's now seen for the masterpiece that it is. This MOC by Gabe Umland is a charming little tribute.
Artists are a peculiar breed. Sometimes doing odd things for the sake of doing them, or for...art. They engage in strange behavior in front of large numbers of people, for whatever reason. Like the guy that built the MOCs of these two poor guys trying to enjoy a meal, sheesh.
After reviewing tonight's images of the poem Twas' The Night Before Christmas, one thing that kept going through my mind was how much I wanted to live in this little LEGO brick house so expertly built by Seth Christie. His builds thus far have been elegant, but not over-the-top, giving the creations a more storybook look and feel.
Every year Castle-Castle.com runs their Colossal Castle Contest which includes some great prizes for the winners including some rare vintage castle sets. For the Castle LEGO lovers among us this means being treated to some excellent Castle-themed MOCs and this year is no exception. Some of my favorite castle builds that come out of this event are the interior creations as they tend to feature more intimate scenes. Lukasz 'LL' Wiktorowicz recently posted his interpretation of Longshanks’s death that includes some never before seen building techniques. This creation is totally worth pouring over the details.
The LEGO exclusive limited edition sets this year were very nice, but for some reason this set has proven to be far more popular than the truck. I'm assuming it's because this set really screams out Christmas, where the truck just looks like a truck.

Actually, don't bother, you won't see this lethal vixon coming. Jon Hall is back with another phenomenal aircraft, this time in black. From the supercharged engines to the canard front end to the custom stickers, this is a thing of beauty.
The countdown to Christmas continues, featuring the work of Seth Christie and his rendition of the Night Before Christmas. Tonight's photo set brings me right back to my childhood - I can remember trying to stay awake on Christmas Eve hoping to get a glimpse of Santa Claus, but inevitably passing out from sheer exhaustion. I don't think I ever dreamed of dancing sugarplums, though. What is a sugar plum, anyway?
I often find myself conflicted on graffiti. One the one hand I can't condone defacing property or vandalism, but I've also seen some incredible work by street artists. Lucky for me I can get behind this piece by Konix 100%, since it's brick-built. Well, some of it is built, I think a good portion of it falls under the category "arranged", but it's all a visual delight.

Chris McVeigh has a new Bricksketch, and it's here to ruin your Christmas. Has there ever been a better villain for the holidays? Sure in the end he turned out to be a softy, but for a while there Santa, cheer and joy didn't stand a chance.
Ah, how romantic. Unfortunately this man's proposal didn't go as planned, and he still has no idea why. So here's some advice guys, take a peek behind you before you drop to one knee.
