Year Of The Rooster

Chinese New Year is upon us, and like every year the animal that is celebrated starts to pop up on Flickr. This year it's the rooster, and brilliant designs are showing up every day like this one from builder DOGOD Brick Design. He may not be as flashy as a dragon, or as cheeky as a monkey, but he's proud and regal, ruler of the barnyard.

Say Hello To My Little LEGO Friends

Brickolaje has put together a great little set of various Sci-fi vehicles for the cute pets from the Friends line. Each one shows the pose of it's respective pilot really well. He also built a hangar bay for the vehicles, check it out on his Flickr page!

Winter Fox Hunt

I watched a lot of nature shows when I was a kid, so when I saw this shot of Miro Dudas' new moc, I could almost hear David Attenborough's voice.  Built for a contest on Eurobricks, Miro has captured the action perfectly.  The fox, listening to it's prey scurrying beneath the snow, almost has a smile on its face, ready to strike.  Lunchtime!

Old Man Of The Forest

OK, the previous post might have conjured up some undesirable mental images, so let's get things a little closer to the reality of my physicality. Take for instance this stunning orangutan by AnActionfigure, I too can hold a small stick with my toes.

Lego Friends Animal Park

Anne Mette V and her son Lasse have created this massive and thoroughly detailed animal park, with a central fountain, balloon ride, and circumferential tram.  Check out their album for all the different venues.  Lions, Tigers and Bears, oh My! 

Thwack!

Chameleons are fascinating creatures. I mean think about it, they change colors, have independent eyes, can hit a target 1.5 times it's length away with it's tongue and has the craziest hands and feet. They also make excellent models as demonstrated by Littlehaulic here.
