Read MoreI wish dragons were real. Wait a minute, what am I saying? Even if they were real humans would have wiped them out by now (this is why we can’t have nice things!) I’ll have to be content to see them in movies, games and especially in bricks, like this marvelous example by builder dviddy. This is the sun dragon, who is very old, very wise, and smarter than all you dumb humans.
This impressive and detail loaded diorama is by builder Henjin Quilones, and it's a treat to the eyes as well as the imagination. We've all seen plenty of fantasy and medieval villages and cities, but I've never heard of a dragon hatchery. What a wonderful notion, of a building dedicated to the hatching and nurturing of dragons.
Well these little dudes are in a heap of trouble. It turns out the eggs they found in a keep not that long ago have hatched, and some rather unique dragons have emerged. Or at least that's sort of the story, I find it difficult to keep up with all the castle lore you abundantly creative miscreants weave. But I don't find it difficult to admire a cool build, and these dragons are unlike any I've ever seen, almost feathered in appearance. Awesome stuff 'Ecclesiastes.
One of the best things about How To Train Your Dragon was the design diversity of the dragons themselves. This is one of my favorites, the gronckle. There's something about his bumblebee proportions and goofy demeanor that just appeals to me. This version by Stormbringer captures him perfectly.
Continuing this morning's viking theme, we move on to Berk, where dragon training is underway. The deadly nadder is considered to be one of the most beautiful dragons, but watch out for those poison spines, not to mention the extremely hot fire. I'd suggest taking advantage of it's blind spot, which just happens to be directly in front of it. Nice build Stormbringer.

Because judging by the matchup here, I'm assuming that's where this is going. Talk about double trouble, Mark of Falworth has crafted a serious little situation here. It kind of reminds me of a camp counseling team I experienced in 6th grade, those ladies wanted us dead.
