Quick Builds #4: Halloween Edition - Witch and Grave

Halloween is almost here! And the question on everyone’s mind is – trick or treat? Well, we are giving you both—a few tricks (did you read our Galidor article?) and two small treats with our Quick Builds instructions series. These two Halloween builds are spooky decorations to put on your desk or gift to others.

Instructions to Build a Flying Witch

The first build is something I associate with the most for Halloween – witches, webs and spiders! I wanted to make a flying witch on her broom and started looking for interesting ways to build the main character.

At first I was going for a purple robe, but when I saw the black cleavers, I knew they were perfect for the hands. This is where the build took off. I still added a little purple on the hat though. :)

The final step is not actually shown, because the orange Syndrome hair is not included in BrickLink Studio, the program I used to generate the instructions. But I have included it in the parts list, which will help you to gather the elements you need if you don't have everything in your collection. Basically, you can change the hair with any orange hair that you do have, or get creative and change it with any other part—even a carrot should work!

Instructions to Build a Grave

As I wrote above, we have two small treats this time, and here's the second one. It's a one-bedroom zombie apartment! Seriously, it is, but I've built only the front door. And if you don't know, zombies have crows for pets, not dogs.

Crow on a grave

Here, my inspiration was the hammer piece. It was perfect for a beak and goes well with the cleavers from the first build. Plus, it's Halloween after all and both tools are great for something meat related.

And just like that, your grim grave is ready for its next zombie tenant! For this one, you also get parts list containing all pieces.

I hope this was enough candy for you, but if not, you can share your Halloween builds with us in the comments below. We hope you have a wonderfully wicked Halloween with these instructions.
