Avell Castle

This is another entry into the Mini Castle Contest  over at Classic Castle, and it's lovely. I'm never certain about the intent of mixing old and new grays (when it happens at my house it's because of bad lighting and colorblindness) but it works well here. I especially like the towers and the supports for the bridge. Nice work Toltomeja. 

Crossing The Delaware

This MOC makes history pop off the page (pun by BiggerJim). I don't know what porschecm2 built this for, he calls it a "thing for a thing", but it's brilliant. It makes my inner patriot heart soar to see my favorite bricks reproducing such an iconic image. And having it in a book, inspired.
 

Miniland Simpsons

This is so perfect! It's not always easy to capture a character's essence at miniland scale, but madoruk has done it. You knew the instant you looked at this who it was didn't you? Mission accomplished. I especially like Lisa, her silhouette is unmistakable. 

Dealin' Vinyl

When you heard a song you liked on the radio when I was a kid, this is where you went to get it (yeah, dating myself again). The first record I remember buying on my own was a 45 of "Jungle Love", but I also remember joining to the Columbia Record Club when I was nine and scoring "Meco Star Wars" for a penny!

Spooked Chicken

This MOC and buddy icon by Hen Peril cracks me up, and seems appropriate with halloween so close. I'm not sure what terrified this poor chicken, but it must have been something.

Obsidian Spike

This is a gorgeous MOC, beautifully photographed. All black creations are notoriously hard to shoot (tip: it's all about the reflections) but Zceberus nailed it. I love the undercut rock work and the overall proportions. This thing is loaded with detail too, click through for many more pictures.

Damselfly

I don't post a lot of digital creations here, but when they're as wild as this I've got to. This is the Dameselfly Assault Helicopter (although from the font selection it looks kinda like a "Helloopter, which is just as fascinating) . The outside-the-box thinking on this one is great, like sandwiching airplane cockpits, brilliant!

Creepy Crawly

They don't call him monster brick for nothing. Check out this latest supremely creepy arachnid from Matt Armstrong. Just in time for halloween! Now do you feel it? The crawly sensation on your leg? Go ahead, look, I'm sure it's nothing...

Robot Chicken

There are very few shows on TV that innovate, truly take chances and succeed consistently, but Robot Chicken is one of them. Yes, it's a bit juvenile, but it's also damn funny. This clever MOC comes from kashim_inc, and it cracks me up.

Hey DJ!

This is a dying art form, at least with two classic wheels of steel. I crack up whenever I pass a car with a "CD DJ'S SUCK" bumper sticker, but I have to agree somewhat. If you've ever listened to someone truly rock a setup like this, you probably understand as well. Nice build delta.triangle. 

Micro Castle and Village

I love a good micro scene, and this one is not only excellent, it's also on Cuusoo, so there's a chance we could all have one. The whole thing is broken into modules, so you can build slowly over time, or reconfigure however you like. The castle walls are actually only three components, very flexible and clever. It's got my support!

In The Pumpkin Patch

Halloween is just over a week away. I have some decorations out, there's a chill in the air and pumpkin spice tea in my cup. Discovering this MOC by schfio while browsing just made me smile.  

Go Yankees!

As many of you know I'm not much of a sports fan. I rarely watch any games, and I can't recall the last time I saw baseball being played. Maybe if the players used jetpacks and the ball was remote controlled it would capture my interest, I dunno. I dig this MOC though.

ÖRNEN Blå

LEGOLIZE IT MAN describes this as a micro scale cruiser Ma.k style. I just call it sweet. Any MOC successfully integrating a brick separator is impressive, but one that does it this nicely is just rare. I really dig the lines on this.

Creepy

This is what happens when rongYIREN limits himself to just the black bin, namely terrifying. Yet another spooky MOC as we race toward halloween.

Hogwarts

I'm a Harry Potter fan, and I'm not afraid to admit it. I also happened to work on the ride at Universal Florida. I've spent a great deal of time dealing with Hogwarts and I'm pretty impressed with the accuracy of this little MOC by  stej123.

Mmmmmmm

Having spent the last two weeks trying to lose some weight this actually looks pretty appetizing. At least more appealing than wheat bread and celery, way more than brussels sprouts.

Dwarves Ready For Adventure

As anticipation of the second chapter the The Hobbit, several MOCs have been appearing. But few are as phenomenal as these. Bombur, Bofur and Bifur look ready for some serious adventure. You do realize Pate-keetongu, than now that you you've made this many, you're obligated to make the entire party, right? (and I can't wait to see it) 

Ready...Fight!

Is that how Street Fighter started? I can't remember, all the fighting games have blended into one blurry scrap. Personally I dug Soul Caliber on Dreamcast, but sadly it was short lived. But this MOC is super cool!  

Roadkill - The Gipsy

Now this is a seriously badass rod. With Halloween only two weeks away this seems perfectly timed. It's dark, angry and intimidating. Can you imagine what that engine would sound like?
