LEGO Ideas has changed dramatically since the days of CUUSOO, and few people have seen that evolution firsthand like Brent Waller. We sat down to talk about official sets, rejected projects, changing expectations, and the road to The X-Files.
Read MoreKAPOW! Check out this awesome Batmobile Cuusoo project of the classic 60's Batman. I can't decide what I love the most about this, that it's classic Adam West campiness, the design itself or the fact that it all started with a dad building a Batmobile for his daughter so Robin could ride along too. Regardless I want one, and if you want one too let's all support this project and make it a reality!
After my disappointment with the Back To The Future Delorean I have to admit I was a little leery when this set was announced. Especially considering Brent Waller's fantastic original design. But I'm very happy to see that it has exceeded my expectations, and the set is only going to set me back $49.99, sweet!
I love a good MOC with animation. Check out this DaVinci flying machine by True Dimensions. It not only has great aesthetics, the motion is great. The best part is you can build your own because True Dimensions has shared instructions on his website. You can also support it on Cuusoo.
The Snowspeeder from The Empire Strikes Back is one of my favorite Star Wars ships. I've always found the faceted design and back-to-back cockpit really appealing. And it's just cool, ya know? This Technic design by drakmir rivals the UCS set for sheer awesomeness. Let's all back it on Cuusoo and get it into our hot little hands!
This makes me so friggin' happy. My best mate across the pond is the next Cuusoo set! Pete Reid's outstanding Exo-suit is going to be available for everyone to enjoy, I can't wait to get my hands on it. Congrats Pete, it's well deserved!
I love a good micro scene, and this one is not only excellent, it's also on Cuusoo, so there's a chance we could all have one. The whole thing is broken into modules, so you can build slowly over time, or reconfigure however you like. The castle walls are actually only three components, very flexible and clever. It's got my support!
For completely selfish reasons, because I want to have them! I love Zelda, I've been a fan for ages. These are a really cool sets, they hit all the marks and I think they would be good sellers. Despite the outcome of the last fully supported Zelda Cuusoo project, I vote we all keep trying until LEGO relents.
The Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary project has Achieved 10K supporters and is now in review by LEGO. Fingers crossed Ghostbusters fans, this is a very cool idea. I want a Luis Tully figure though.
What more do I have to say? Go get a free Slurpee! Oh, and this MOC from the Mini Shop Series on Cuusoo is brilliant, as they all are. It's supported, but still waiting for official word from LEGO.
It is time to take to the skies to see all the LEGO floating islands that populate our imaginations. Check out these gravity-defying rocks and learn why they might be one of the best ever collab ideas.
Old LEGO magic still has its charms. We revisit Borgin and Burkes and Dumbledore’s office to compare how their buildings, curious objects, and magical creatures have changed across generations of Harry Potter sets.
Want to customize a minifig without fancy printers or toxic fumes? Learn how to use the dark art of reductive design to literally erase the line between official and custom LEGO parts.
LEGO meets tabletop combat in the Brassbound universe. We talk with creator Paul Antoine about designing microscale armies, turning builds into game pieces, and developing games with a growing community.
When a legendary archaeologist minifigure meets the spin cycle, adventure calls! Follow along as we reclaim the lost fedora of Indiana Jones and uncover how to repair a LEGO keychain.
LEGO adventurers need somewhere to unwind between quests. We talk with Sleepy Dragon Inn designer Marin Graux about classic Castle, medieval hospitality, and how his design evolved for the BrickLink Designer Program.
From sketches to superglue, see how this custom LEGO motorcycle earned its street cred. We chat with Jean-Yves about the design, prototyping, and even heat resistance of his LEGO customizations, taking them from prototype to the pavement.

Monet painted his garden many times, exploring changes in color and time of day. Meredith Najewicz follows his lead, rebuilding the LEGO Art Water Lilies set with a darker palette and some creative part substitutions to cast the lilies in a different light.
