Enter a New Batmobile

Though February has come and gone, Batman builds are continuing to pop up (as to be expected).  The (debatable good / bad) film Batman V Superman introduced yet another variant of the Caped Crusader's famous vehicle, almost a mix of the Dark Knight Trilogy's Tumbler and the previous, sporty designs.  PsychoBrick46 has combined set and MOC to create an awesome, play-friendly model of the Batlfeck's Batmobile.  This vehicle was a highlight of the film, for sure.  Using the official LEGO set's cockpit design to make it movie accurate, the builder created a sleek yet tough appearance for his model.  Not a vehicle I would want to mess with, for sure!

My name is Nathaniel Stoner, and I am an very active LEGO builder.  I mostly build in the themes of castle and science-fiction, but I also dabble in other genres and create occasional random MOC's (My Own Creations).

When I was younger, I would get and build small LEGO sets for my birthday, but I was never really into them.  When they fell apart, I would become frustrated attempting to put them back together and would throw them in a box in my closet.  I couldn't stand them!

Then, miraculously, I became addicted to the LEGO brick later in my teen years.  Ever since, I have continued to build up (pun intended) my collection of bricks and to expand my knowledge of techniques and building skills.  LEGO is truly more than a toy, its an art form and a way to express yourself.

For the most part, I collect LEGO Star Wars (mainly the minifigs), which is probably my favorite LEGO theme.  I have a fairly decent collection, including some of the original 1999 sets, such as the Snowspeeder, X-Wing, and Naboo starfighter.  I also collected LEGO the Lord of the Rings when those sets first came out.  The minifigs are great, and the story remains one of my favorites ever.

My hope is to inspire other young (and perhaps even older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity!  You can find me on my Flikr here

Burton's Batmobile

Guess what movie comes out today? There's Batman everywhere right now, and I'm totally cool with that. I haven't seen it yet (give me a break, it's not even 7am yet) but I'm totally stoked to learn that the Burton Batmobile will be represented thanks to the effort of builder Brent Waller. I understand it's only in the background, but this has always been my favorite Batmobile (with the '66 a close second) so I'll be watching closely.

Batmobile Blues (NOT!)

More and more Batman builds!  Are you tired of it yet?  No?  Good!  The Incinerator14 is adding to the Batman excitement with another super sleek Batmobile!  (There can never be enough LEGO Batmobile MOC's.)  The builder of this model used all sorts of smooth and sleek slope elements to give this vehicle a sporty, yet tough, appearance to the model.  Instead of designing one of the more modern Batmobiles, this model is a replica of 1995's Batman Forever.  The builder had this to say:  "Since I find the design rather interesting and since it almost hasn't been recreated in LEGO form, I wanted to see if I could recreate this car..."  What's your favorite rendition of the famous car of the Dark Knight?  Let us know below in the comments!

To The Batmobile!

Holy iconic TV cars Batman! The Adam West Batman series was years into re-runs before I ever started watching it, but once we discovered it we couldn't get enough. Sure it was campy, yes it was over-the-top, of course it was silly. That was the point and everyone knew it. And what kid didn't want to be Batman (or at least Robin) and cruise around in the Batmobile? This version by flailx is one of the best representations of this particular Batmobile I've ever seen.

Holy Retrospective batman!

I love this! The batmobile has taken many live-action shapes, and it seems that filmmakers feel it's their duty to give us a new one with every new movie. But no matter which is your personal favorite (I'm sorta partial for the Burton one myself) you have to love them all at this mini scale by builder SPARKART. And all the figures to with them is a perfect finishing touch.

Where Does He Get Those Wonderful Toys?

I've always been a big fan of the batmobile, and judging from the number of them I see all the time on Flickr you all are too. But I don't see many with play features, especially as well hidden as this badass Batmobile from AC Studio. This thing is packing machine guns, autocannons and missile launchers, all tucked away in cleverly hidden compartments. Click through for more images.

Batman #20 Featuring The 1943 Batmobile

Holy retro action Batman! Comic Bricks seems to have resonated throughout the AFOL community. I really wish this MOC had been at D-Con 2014 so I could see it in person. I'm a sucker for a little retro, and I love this. I really dig the brick-built logo on the comic too, nice work Clayton Marchetti. Click through for more pics.

Where Does He Get Those Wonderful Toys?

Orion Pax is back with one of my all time favorite movie cars, the '89 Batmobile. I consider myself lucky, when Batman came out back then I was super busy at work, so it was a couple weeks before I could see it. In that time all my friends were bashing on it so I went in with really low expectations. I loved it! And I loved this car, and I'm happy to say this version does it justice. Check out the full gallery here.

Ready For The Night?

SM seeks SF

I'm seeking a lady who likes adventure, and isn't afraid of the dark. I enjoy the night life, I like to boogie. I really enjoy gadgets and dressing up for a evening on the town. I have my own car (several in fact) so I can pick you up. While I do spend plenty of time in my parent's basement, I actually own the house since I was orphaned as a child.

If interested please see Commissioner Gordon, he knows how to contact me.

Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Batman!

KAPOW! Check out this awesome Batmobile Cuusoo project of the classic 60's Batman. I can't decide what I love the most about this, that it's classic Adam West campiness, the design itself or the fact that it all started with a dad building a Batmobile for his daughter so Robin could ride along too. Regardless I want one, and if you want one too let's all support this project and make it a reality!

Where Does He Get Those Wonderful Toys?

In 1989 when Tim Burton's Batman came out I was super busy at work. Consequently I had to wait a couple weeks before I had time to see it. During that time all my fanboy friends were quite gleefully bashing the hell out of it, so I entered the theater expecting the worst. I loved it. I learned a lesson that day to make my own mind up about things, to try and have an open mind and no pre-conceptions. This Batmobile is also one of my favorites, probably because we hadn't seen anything like it at the time. Nice work Ralph, you nailed it.
