Gotham City Without Batman

/

This is a little high concept, but very cool (and hey, it's Batman). The overall shape here represents a flower vase. In the vase itself is several scenes of Batman and Robin taking time off with some distractions. Above that is Gotham, with it's classic city graphics. The outstretched hands represent the people of Gotham, calling out for Batman. And the "flowers" are obviously bat signals. A pretty stunning piece by Vincent's LEGO Creation.

Even Superheroes Need to Play

The Boy Wonder has a wonderful Batman-themed source of entertainment.  Unlike Batman, Robin is not limited to only black and very very dark gray.  With the release of the upcoming LEGO Batman film, Dark Knight creations are slowly popping up more and more.  LEGO 7 has created a diorama for the movie release, similar to what he did earlier this year for Star Wars.  The builder has filled this scene with little easter eggs and familiar Batman items, including some of the new superhero Microfighter figures.  How many can you pick out?

Nathaniel Stoner

     My name is Nathaniel Stoner, and I am an very active LEGO builder.  I mostly build in the themes of castle and science-fiction, but I also dabble in other genres and create occasional random MOC's (My Own Creations). 

     When I was younger, I would get and build small LEGO sets for my birthday, but I was never really into them.  When they fell apart, I would become frustrated attempting to put them back together and would throw them in a box in my closet.  I couldn't stand them!

     Then, miraculously, I became addicted to the LEGO brick later in my teen years.  Ever since, I have continued to build up (pun intended) my collection of bricks and to expand my knowledge of techniques and building skills.  LEGO is truly more than a toy, its an art form and a way to express yourself.

     For the most part, I collect LEGO Star Wars (mainly the minifigs), which is probably my favorite LEGO theme.  I have a fairly decent collection, including some of the original 1999 sets, such as the Snowspeeder, X-Wing, and Naboo starfighter.  I also collected LEGO the Lord of the Rings when those sets first came out.  The minifigs are great, and the story remains one of my favorites ever. 

     My hope is to inspire other young (and perhaps even older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity!  You can find me on my Flikr here. 

Holy Retrospective batman!

I love this! The batmobile has taken many live-action shapes, and it seems that filmmakers feel it's their duty to give us a new one with every new movie. But no matter which is your personal favorite (I'm sorta partial for the Burton one myself) you have to love them all at this mini scale by builder SPARKART. And all the figures to with them is a perfect finishing touch.

Holy retro action Batman! Comic Bricks seems to have resonated throughout the AFOL community. I really wish this MOC had been at D-Con 2014 so I could see it in person. I'm a sucker for a little retro, and I love this. I really dig the brick-built logo on the comic too, nice work Clayton Marchetti. Click through for more pics.

I do believe that if I found myself a billionaire vigilante, with a penchant for gadgets and black everything (and sometimes very dark gray), I don't think I'd be too keen to have a spastic teenage sidekick. I know there's plenty of Robin fans out there, but builder captain smog is clearly not one of them.

KAPOW! Check out this awesome Batmobile Cuusoo project of the classic 60's Batman. I can't decide what I love the most about this, that it's classic Adam West campiness, the design itself or the fact that it all started with a dad building a Batmobile for his daughter so Robin could ride along too. Regardless I want one, and if you want one too let's all support this project and make it a reality!
