Well, here's some great news, there's a Kickstarter Project from director Phillip Heinrich and producers Doug Vandegrift, Nathan Wells and Zach Macias called Bricks In Motion. With our help these filmmakers can create a full length documentary about the fascinating world of LEGO animation. It's only be a few days and they're already over half way there. Last night I was the guest on the YouTube channel Beyond The Brick. I had a great time hanging out with Joshua Hanlon and Matthew Kay and pretending not to be sick, pretty sure my ruse was completely undetectable. Did you know there's another Iron Builder going on? Yes, it's been a bit of a low key one, what with all the distractions in the world, but Pepa Quin and Disco86 are currently locked in an epic struggle of LEGO builder superiority. The part this round is the 2x2 inverted dome/bowl.
The month of July is drawing to a close, and the 2014 BrickNerd Pledge Drive with it. But I'm still giving stuff away (check out Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!) including this totally jaw-dropping assortment from the fine humans at customBRICKS. Of course donations are always happily accepted, and I'm giving swag away all the time, so I guess it never really stops.
The fine humans at TBB were some of the first friends I made when I jumped into the AFOL scene back in 2009. They showed me just how awesome the people of this community are and made me feel very welcome. I look forward to seeing them every year at BrickCon and I've been visiting their website at least once a day for years. Today they celebrate their 9th birthday, let's all sing along....
I know it's a showing a bit of favoritism, but I love this MOC and I'm really hoping it goes to the next level. Angus MacLane's WALL•E has just passed the 10,000 mark, qualifying it for official review by LEGO. If all goes well we can all have an adorable little robot of our own, best of luck Angus!
