Strahl H.A.F.S. GORGON
/This is a pretty awesome combination of color, detail and style. Although I question the practicality of a tripod design (there's a reason these don't really exist) I have to admit they look badass. Nice work nate_decastro

Vic Vipers are aplenty these days, and it's hard to stand out in the crowd. But this one from stenertje caught my eye. It has a utilitarian and gritty nature to it. I really like the cockpit and that broken dish just adds to the grunge, very cool.
These dapper gentlemen and lady are very proud of the museum's latest acquisition, the full skeleton of Diplodocus carnegii. The use of different small elements to diminish scale, like the clips moving to minifig hands along the tail, is fantastic. And the overall proportioning is splendid. Nice work, MolochBaal.
I've waited a long time for this book. Pete Reid confided in me quite some time back that he and Tim were working on a book, and working hard on it. I knew it was about space, I knew it would be awesome and I knew it would be out around now. But that's all I knew. I wanted it to be a surprise, I didn't ask for any more info and he didn't offer. Well, it's finally in my hands and let me tell you, it's gorgeous.
Read MoreEveryone's getting ready for the holidays. Traditionally Thanksgiving kicks things off, but I was seeing Christmas crap in Michael's in August. Anyway, if you like football, drunk distant relatives and copious amounts of food, Thanksgiving is your day. And you only have a little more than a week to wait. Mr. Rancor couldn't wait, but thanks to DigiNik13 and this awesome picture, we can all look forward to a little gobble gobble.
I remember building the LEGO Discovery Mars Rover set as I watched the live feed from NASA on landing day. There's something about space technology that just lends itself to LEGO construction. This awesome MOC by Rogue Bantha is proof of that. It's just one of the many, many phenomenal MOCs in LEGO Space, Building The Future.
I just got my review copy of this book and first impressions are really good. I'll be doing a proper review in the next few days, but it's awesome!
I remember distinctly being 9 years old and watching this scene, my heart soaring. Then there was that moment when I thought, "hey, Chewie didn't get a medal, what the heck?"
This is from an upcoming book called LEGO Galaxy: Build Your Own Universe. Coming out in December.
We had our first holiday party last night. Actually, we called it a pre-holiday kick-off party. Since traditionally things don't really get started until after Thanksgiving. But you wouldn't know it by walking into Wal-Mart, or any other retailer for that matter. So what the heck, let's get this season started with some charming little elves from True Dimensions.
This is a seriously mean looking machine. Shelby is synonymous with muscle, and this MOC by Sheepo is faithful to the name. There's quite a few pictures of this beast on Flickr, click through to gawk.
It's a simple proposition, and very inviting. It's my sentiment exactly when I see a pile of bricks. The potential for a simple handful of bricks is limited only by your imagination. And beyond concept this is a nice MOC and photograph on it's own. A cheery little invitation to let your creativity soar.
December is almost here, and with it come holiday cheer, ginger bread lattes and... oh who am I kidding, it's all about Desolation of Smaug! Disco86 brings us this excellent MOC depicting the hair raising barrel escape.
Oh Karf, my day isn't complete without gazing upon one of your wonderfully odd MOCs. This one is particularly odd, and wonderful. I looks like something that hatched from a meteor.
The term "more of the same" is far too often used in a negative context. When I'm talking about The LEGO Build-It Book Volume 2 More Amazing Vehicles it should be thought of as being in the the same spirit as "more chocolate cake", or "more heart containers" or "more foot massages". Sometimes more of the same thing is totally awesome!
