This is the Raion Tank, and if you are fool enough to engage it in your antelope tank, you will perish. Built for the "Build a Chima tribe vehicle" tag team tournament on brickpirate.net. The tail is inspired but that lion face on the front is absolutely brilliant.
Live on stage! If you're into synthetic Japanese singers recreated in plastic, this post is for you. I just like well done characters, and these fit the bill. I especially like the proportions of the singer, the huge sleeves juxtaposed with the tiny arms are very iconic. The posing on both of these MOCs is great as well.
I remember being a bit fascinated by combat and survival knives in high school. I even had one with a camo grip and nifty compass on the end. I still have a very nice Buck my brother gave me that I don't camp without. It's not as cool as this Halo combat by Pink Stormtrooper though. Not so much for being a knife, but for being a knife built this nice out of LEGO. Sure you can't slice potatoes with it, but who cares?
The Arvo Brothers are back and what a return it is. As though it wasn't enough to thrill us with their recreation of Kaneda's bike from the anime classic Akira, but they have more news as well. Apparently they meticulously documented the creation of this MOC and are going to release a book about it soon! With die-cut decals included no less! Until then we can just stare and drool.
Someone once described Andrew as "too cool to be one of us, yet he is" and I thought that summed up Andrew pretty well. He's definitely cooler than me. Yet he's not afraid to let his geeky side show, with an open love of most things nerdy. He also happens to be one of the most talented builders in the AFOL scene, even winning the latest round of Iron Builder. With his shades on, a beer in one hand and a mind-blowing MOC in the other, Andrew brings the party to wherever he is.

I am not shy about the fact that I love pumpkin pie. Not that I think it's wrong to share one's love of dessert, go right ahead. It's just been a bit difficult this holiday season to count points and get my fix. This slice by Ryan K poses no threat though, it's delicious looking and makes me smile, but has zero calories.
Saturday mornings were awesome when I was a kid. For some reason we were able to wake up early with no ill effects (unlike school days) and it was strait to the TV with a bowl of Cheerios to watch Land of the Lost, Speed Racer and classic Warner Bros Cartoons. One of my favorites was always Road Runner, not for the the stupid bird, but for the cunning but misfortunate Wile E. Coyote. This MOC by matt rowntRee sums it all up in one visual image, nicely played.

This photo is a bit over processed for my taste, but the build is awesome. This is the Demonic Key by mihaimariusmihu, and who knows what nightmares it opens. I love the use of the chains to add texture, and the Ninjago spinner as an eye is inspired.
There were very few redeeming values in Episode 1 (none of which make Jar Jar tolerable) but one was the pod race. In fact I remember going to see it again in a theater near me and getting up and leaving after the race. This engine by Nannan Z captures the essence of the racers themselves, power and simplicity. Just two bigass engines with a seat attached, that's racing.
What better way to convey a synthetic artist than with ABS plastic? This is singing sensation Hatsune Miku by LEGO DUO Moko. The proportions of this defy logic, how can that much hair be attached and posed? and how does this entire figure stand on those tiny little legs? Masterful.
Novvember is drawing to a close, but Vic Vipers are still popping up. This one by lego_nabii challenges the normal proportions to great effect. That forward facing canopy and rounded fuselage is pretty nifty too.
No, this isn't the vehicle from Breaking Bad, but it has all the same amenities, built in kitchen, full sized bed, seating for 8, ample storage and roof access. And hey, while you're up there why don't you pick off those zombies coming over the ridge.
I'm a sucker for art deco, and this lovely cinema by snaillad really caught my eye. I love the exterior walls on this, at once simplistic and cleverly detailed. But the real magic is inside. This interior just makes me happy, with the high ceiling in the lobby, the bar and just check out that stadium seating. I would love to see a movie here.
