City services has finally succeeded in shutting off all services and cleanup is continuing. Everyone is accounted for and I'm happy to let you know Mrs Thumperpants' cat Piranha has been found safe and sound. 

I am however very concerned by your apparent disbelief in my descriptions of the events of the 27th of March. I can assure you everything that was described occurred exactly as it happened. I have enclosed a photo if you are still feeling skeptical.

Hellboy

Yes it was just last week when I posted another version of Hellboy, but what can I say, he's cool! This medium sized bust by HP Mohnroth packs all the character into a small package and does it perfectly. I especially like the use of the new ball and socket joint for the neck, allows for excellent pose-ability.

The Cap doesn't mess around when it comes to supporting our troops, and JaredChan doesn't mess around when it comes to outstanding building. There's so much to love in this diorama, the bunting, the eagle, the dancing girls and of course Red Skull's sweet ride. But for the me the stand out is the stars and stripes shield, awesome.

Builder The Deathly Halliwell is back with another inspired MOC. This time it's both comic book superhero Hellboy, the demon with a heart of gold and razor wit. This almost looks like a hybrid of the classic comic book version and the movie version, and it's brilliant.

The Wolverine

So what did you think when you first glanced at this? Artwork? Me too. But no, look closer, it's LEGO. It's not really a traditionally built MOC, more of clever part arrangement, but it's still friggin' awesome. 

I Am Iron Man!

Iron Man has always been my favorite super hero. I didn't read many comics as a kid, but when I did, it was Spiderman or Iron Man. And of course the movies are outstanding (the first is still my favorite, but I always prefer the genesis stories). This rendition of the mark VII armor by mmccooey makes my geek heart soar.

Calvin & Hobbs

I've never been much into comics (yeah, bad nerd) but there are a few strips I always appreciated, and Calvin & Hobbs is one of them. This rendition by Bricksky captures them absolutely perfectly. Winter is coming isn't it?

Arkham Asylum

This is epic.  Xenomurphy has built an amazing version of everyone's favorite (and easiest to escape) prison for the criminally insane, Arkham Asylum. And as if this MOC wasn't amazing on it's own, there's an entire 82 page book of the making of it in his photostream, and it's free. Go there, now.

Boom!

Judging by the Hensler-Murmont scale of nerd popularity (namely the number of costumes worn of a particular character at Comic-Con), Deadpool is wildly popular. But I'm actually more excited by this MOC. The explosion is way cool and that motorcycle is just totally awesome.

Dennis The Menace

I confess, I've never really cared for Dennis the Menace. I was born too late for the TV show, and the comic never really resonated with me, and we just won't discuss the 1993 movie. But this MOC caught my attention. It's clean, it's fun and it's clever. Check out that slingshot, love it.
