LEGO Community Headlines and Highlights for October 2022

The LEGO community is lucky to have so many blogs, magazines and channels that create amazing content about our hobby. Here at BrickNerd, we celebrate getting nerdy about the bricks!

BrickNerd’s October pumpkin patch was a colorful one: We learned all about LEGO trophies as well as what goes into designing them, built curved sidewalks for our LEGO City, and celebrated awesome Black creativity. We followed a mom behind the scenes of LEGO Masters, reported from both Skærbæk Fan Weekend 2022 and BrickCon Seattle 2022, and went back in time to unearth the birth of Great Ball Contraptions as well as the theme month that was Ma.Ktoberfest. We also celebrated Dungeons and Dragons the LEGO way and chatted with the creators of Wandering Skies.

And while it might only be October we also kicked off our Festive FUNdraiser for Fairy Bricks and published instructions for a LEGO teddy bear mech and two spooky Halloween quick builds. We’ve published so many interesting articles, that we’ve included an interactive calendar of them at the bottom of this post so you can make sure you didn’t miss a thing.

But there are many more fascinating stories to be told from within the LEGO community, so here are some of the best LEGO articles that caught our contributors’ attention throughout the month of October. We applaud the effort that went into each of these features, so click on the headlines or photos to head to each story or video. They are well worth your time!
