Gone Fishin'

I don't fish, or at least I haven't since I was a child. I also don't do boats, unless it's a Disney cruise ship. I also don't eat much fish (but I do enjoy a good fish & chips). So I'm at a loss to explain why I love this little fishing boat by builder Know Your Pieces. Perhaps it's because of the splendid color scheme and building techniques. Or maybe because it's built out of my favorite toy, I just don't know.

Patterson Seafood Corp.

Humans have been harvesting from the sea since we were smart enough to realize there's quite a bit of yummy food in there. Over the years the technology might have advanced a bit, but when it comes down to it, it's really just people in boats that make it all happen. This MOC by builder Arjan Oude Kotte features these very people and those very boats, and you can practically smell the salt air and hear the waves lapping and seagulls.

Big Catch

One of the best things about the Iron Builder contests is the incredibly diverse MOCs that get churned out. In this battle alone we've seen everything from a boot, to a video game to a haunted TV to a tornado. And now it's a guy landing a huge, orange three-eyed fish. Where else in the world can you connect all those things together? Nice build 6kyubi6.
