Read MoreIt’s just a logical extrapolation, the coelacanth has been around for millions of years, it seems inevitable that it will be around in the distant future, and prowling the sea bottom in mecha form. And honestly, I don’t know what’s more terrifying, the present (and ancient) version, or the mechanical version depicted here by builder ToyForce 120.
One of the reasons I love California is there is very few dangerous creatures here. Sure we have the occasional mountain lion or bear incident, but for the most part the critters here are pretty chill. Not that I'm one to spend much time in water, but if I lived anywhere close to where these little dudes swam, I don't know I'd even want to take a bath. A nice reminder from builder Sebastian_green that some fish are not messing around.
I knew raccoons are attracted to shiny things, dogs bury bones and squirrels hide nuts, but who knew sharks were into treasure? If this MOC by LEGO 7 is any indication they seem to be a bit preoccupied by the doubloons, if you know what I mean. Makes you wonder about all those shipwrecks though doesn't it, hmmmm...
Talk about a crazy (in a good way) build to see this afternoon! Djorde has built one of my favorite funky builds that I've seen in quite some time. I'm sure there are many fish-related jokes that one could make about this creation, especially with the recent release of Finding Dory, but I'm not going to dive too deep to think of some. (Get it?) Just keep swimming, Djorde! Okay, I'll stop now.
Angler fish are just about the scariest thing on the planet in my opinion. I think I'd already be freaked out in the deep depths of the ocean, even protected in a submarine, but to come face to face with one of these things I think I'd need clean shorts after. Another brilliant build from Legonardo Davidy.
One of the most tranquil places to spend any time at all is a well designed koi pond. I highly recommend pulling up a comfortable chair, putting on some relaxing music on your headphones, and just chillin' while you watch the fish. You'll find yourself so amazingly relaxed you may need help getting back to the real world. This pond by cmaddison my not have the lazy swimming and relaxing trickling water, but it has the right aesthetic.
One of the best things about the Iron Builder contests is the incredibly diverse MOCs that get churned out. In this battle alone we've seen everything from a boot, to a video game to a haunted TV to a tornado. And now it's a guy landing a huge, orange three-eyed fish. Where else in the world can you connect all those things together? Nice build 6kyubi6.
It's odd how a single film can transform a thing forever huh? The image of clownfish used to just conjure up images of tropical reefs and sea life. Now you see one and all you can think is Nemo! Nice MOC Amida Na.
