Building...It's In The Blood

You've seen plenty of work by the brothers Erickson here on BrickNerd, but never anything quite like this. Mark and Steven built this model of a blood vessel in 48 hours over a five day period for a trade show. Using nothing but bricks and their imaginations the pair built this enormous creation from nearly 50,000 bricks.

Built in 48 hours over 5 days and using just under 50,000 LEGO pieces, this gigantic LEGO sculpture of a blood vessel was built for the Shire Pharmaceuticals booth at the American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting & Exposition in December 2017.

Tower Bridge At Tower Bridge

A builder with an awesome outlook on life and a pretty awesome name, Tommy Williams (it's so hard not not add the "on" on the end of that) has done something I've been dying to do. The Tower Bridge is an icon of London, and the LEGO set is a fitting tribute to it. So why not build it in the shadow of the real thing? Tommy has done just that, and produced this exceptional video documenting the event. It's all part of his Year of Projects and the philosophy to never lose your inner child. As a self professed man-child, I totally support this notion.

A time lapse of me spending one stunning summers day in London building the LEGO Tower Bridge in front of the actual Tower Bridge for over 13.5 hours non-stop. My name's Tommy Oswin Williams and I'm currently spending a year of my life working through various business ideas and creative projects in the hope of creating a sustainable long term income doing what I love.

Ghostbusters Headquarters - In Just Over A Minute

How do you make building one of the biggest LEGO sets ever produced even more epic? You  film it in multiple sessions with motion control time-lapse then composite all the shots with some cool speed effects and edit a video. This took over a week, but was super fun. The set is outstanding, with loads of detail and tons of nostalgia. One of my favorite all time movies is now one of my favorite all time sets.

And On The Seventh Day He Posted

This is a fun promotion. Autotrader UK has teamed up with Bright Bricks to let people win LEGO versions of their cars. Builder MortalSwordsman was challenged with building 6 cars in 6 days using 2,500 pieces each. Oh, and he only had 5 hours. A fun time-lapse video was done for each one as well. Check out the video and click through for more.

Ever fancied having your car or bike immortalised in LEGO®? From December 8-12th, we're giving you the chance to win just that. Share a photo of your ride on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with #DrivenByMe & we may just build it for you.
