SPLAT-AT

This is freaking awesome. I actually laughed out loud when I saw it. The captured action is brilliant, check out the troopers tumbling out and the displaced snow shooting away from the head.  Jim Walshe posted this but did not create it. Will the builder please step up?

UPDATE! We now know who the builder is, Daft Vader1 has come forward. Not only that, there's plenty more pictures of this awesome MOC. 

Bombur

As we ramp up to the release of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug I'm sure we'll see plenty Tolkien inspired MOCs, like this spectacular rendition of Bombur. An all studs out build can add tons of texture, as you can see. Nice work Pate-keetongu.

Brick-Built-Beyond-The-Brick

Intrepid LEGO reporters Joshua Hanlon and Matthew Kay have been "Ochresized", immortalized in brick. Very few non-infamous or celebrities have enjoyed this honor. While the caricatures are exceptional, I have to admit my favorite little bit of this is the distressed Mr. Sandwich.

How You Want Your Steak?

According to Asimov's laws for robots:

1. A robot my not harm a human, so no undercooked meat. 

2. A robot must obey orders, make mine medium please.

3. A robot must protect itself, so don't burn my steak and no one gets hurt. 

Nice build Karen Quinn ! My Weber seems so...inadequate now.

Kaman H-2

This little MOC is proof that you doing have to build big to build awesome. Fuse26 packs a lot into a small space with this dual prop personal copter. I really like the dish/fan combination and that cockpit and controls arrangement is very cool.

Welcome To Pandora

Please keep your hands, arms, legs and feet inside the vehicle at all times (if you want to keep them). Few would argue that the Samson is the coolest vehicle in Avatar, and this version by ~The Steads~ is just as cool. It's big, beautiful and badass. 

IPOL

If you've been into the AFOL scene for a while and you're a fan of space, you've probably heard of Nnenn. Before his untimely passing nearly three years ago he was one of the most influential and talented builders in the community. His work continues to inspire builders all over the world. Right now there's a Tribute to Nnenn Challenge going on Flickr and this build by James Asbury is an entry. It's a fitting tribute to an amazing builder. 

Anna

LEGOLIZE IT MAN has done it again, another bitchin' little space ship. This one has a modular design, as seen in the lower images. The graphics presentation really sells the whole concept though, I love a well presented MOC. 

Isabella The Witch

Witches have never really scared me. Unless you consider the time I was working on Hansel & Gretel, then I was scared most of the time (of eye strain, stupid stereography). This witch however gives me quite the opposite reaction, more like Elizabeth Montgomery, she's adorable.  I like the cat too. Nice work Lego Junkie!

Curvy

I really like to see a ship that departs from the norm. The shape on this is unique and very sexy.  It's also nice to see a Friends figure ready for action. I understand the ship also has light features, I'd love to see pics of those in action too.

I still Don't Get Ninjago

But I appreciate a good arena, and this is excellent. The mosaic is really well done, with great color. I especially like the giant stone warrior though, it really makes the piece.

'Dub Luv

I love old VWs. My first real car was a burnt orange classic '72 standard beetle, with tinted one-piece front windows, tinted quarters, lowered stance and get this..black flames (yeah, awesome). I really like these MOCs by Legopard, they have a playful quality that just screams classic VW.

Where Does He Get Those Wonderful Toys?

In 1989 when Tim Burton's Batman came out I was super busy at work. Consequently I had to wait a couple weeks before I had time to see it. During that time all my fanboy friends were quite gleefully bashing the hell out of it, so I entered the theater expecting the worst. I loved it. I learned a lesson that day to make my own mind up about things, to try and have an open mind and no pre-conceptions. This Batmobile is also one of my favorites, probably because we hadn't seen anything like it at the time. Nice work Ralph, you nailed it. 

Orbscure

This is one beefy, stocky mech. I would love to see this thing clomping through a darkly lit, steamy corridor. I dig the color scheme, it's almost steampunk with the copper highlights and shaping. But with this stance, it's clearly not cog-driven.

Corner Hardware Store

When I was a kid hardware stores were like this. Small, family owned and fun. We had a couple in my town and they were always fascinating to visit. Those days are gone for the most part, with small hardware stores replaced by the likes of Home Depot. I just can't imagine wandering aimlessly through this little shop looking for an anchor bolt and not being able to find a soul to help me.

Math Is Easier With Visual Aids

Take for instance young Joker here. He's about to illustrate the principals of fractions in one simple stroke...of a cleaver. You could provide the answer with "1/2" or with ".5", either way, you have two halves of a whole kitten. You're a sick man Stuart (awesomely sick man)

Chip 'N' Dale

The only thing more surprising than the quality of this build is that I found it on Brickshelf. This charming MOC comes to us from m-and-m (or is that M&M?), the same builder as the nifty Alice In Wonderland featured not too long ago. Obviously I need visit Brickshelf more often (but sorry kids, it's dying a slow death).

Welcome To The Scare...Make That Laugh Floor

Monsters Inc. showed us all that laughter is more powerful than fear. Dave Shaddix showed us that he's got the mad skills. Although technically, this entire MOC would be considered a 2319, I'm sure Roz would make an exception.
