This cool MOC caught my eye. There's no real description but it's clearly a VTOL support ship. Wonderful angles on this, giving it a utilitarian yet sleek aesthetic. I dig the big flat surfaces broken up by just the right amount of detail. The ground vehicles are pretty cool too. Nice photograph too, the background really works well. Nice work Anto-Nio.
With the latest from Mark of Falworth and Brother Steven the boys are back to their roots, castles. And it's a fine example of the genre they have always excelled at. The rock and stonework is great, and the tudor toppers are totally terrific. This is their thirtieth entry ( ! ) into Iron Builder.
I was going to wait to post another round of VWs, but this one makes me so happy I have to share. Not only is it brilliantly built, the name is so perfect. From one of my favorite builders, and a pretty swell guy, Angus MacLane
I like this ship, it's got an almost classic space feel, with a modern flair and color sense. And perhaps just a little Star Wars thrown in for seasoning, just a hint. The addition of a classic space Minifigure pilot is the perfect touch too. Nice work halfbeak.
You may have thunk it impossible, but there is something more terrifying than a fourteen foot spider, a fourteen foot mechanical spider. Luckily Sam's packing heat, so everything should work out ok. This alternate non-reality mashup brought to you by the tears of children, and crises_crs.
...Are the thoughtwaves of my first impressions. These will be our only source of contact, once you have passed beyond the limits of normal MAGNIFICATION. Sorry, disney geek moment. This is a fully functional compound microscope by Carl Merrium. Featuring Power Functions lighting and separate coarse and fine adjustments, amazing. It's also on Cuusoo, so with your support we can all have one of these.
Yes, when I was a kid, TVs had a dial. And we only got six channels, and in the evening four of them were the same two channels. And you know what the remote control was called? Tommy! That's right, I was the damn remote control. "Tommy, change that to channel six". But Saturday mornings were glorious, just as soon as the test pattern and tone went away it was hours of cartoons, Land of the Lost and Bigfoot and Wildboy, but I digress...
Wow, this is really impressive. There is so much rich detail, texture and building nuance in this MOC that it's truly staggering. I don't know where to begin so I'll just invite you all to please click through and give this a good look at full resolution, it's totally worth it. Nice work Fianat .
For a first attempt at characters this is outstanding. Nolnet brings us the cast of New Girl, and they are perfectly captured. I love the posing on the figures, the attitude and emotion comes through in every one.
There's something disturbing, yet somehow compelling about this MOC by evhh. I love the smooth lines and sinewy legs. It almost looks like a scientific model of a creature from another world. A terrifying creature.
Featuring Life of George and a review of the Friends Dolphin Cruiser as a special episode of Lifestyles of the Brick and Famous with Robin Leach! All that and the latest LEGO news.
I wasn't going to post this. Not because it's not brilliant or yet another amazing build by Siercon and Coral. But because it's brilliant and yet another amazing build by Siercon and Coral. I've honestly lost count of how many MOCs I've featured by these two in the last month. But then I saw the video, and it's too damn cool not to share.
Oh man, that's a bad title, sorry about that. But it's really what has happened. This entry into the first round of the MocOlympics is stunning, and stands out from the rest. It's work like this that will move on and set the bar higher and higher. We're going to see some amazing work this year, this is only the beginning.
This was a great surprise to wake up to. Lego Junkie posted the first entry to the Pimp My Nerdly contest, and it's awesome. I knew Nerdly was ready for action, but whoa!
The Iconic and impressive Sydney Opera House is now available from LEGO and retailers.
I'd love to review this for you all, but I'm afraid it's beyond my budget at this time. But if you're going to nab one for yourself consider using this link and supporting BrickNerd.
I've been watching the progress of this ship for a while, thanks to a bounty (see what I did there) of WIP pictures from Wes VanDell. More pictures and info are to come, and I'm sure I'll post them when they do. But in the mean time we can celebrate it's completion. She's a beauty.
Sure they are beautiful, and sing ever so sweetly. But put one toe in the water and boom! You're fish food. Something should really be done about this scourge of the deep, these sirens of fate, these...these...the singing is so beautiful. I must...go...in the....water....
I have a nerd confession to make, I don't give a rat's LaBeouf about Transformers. I was just a little too old when they hit popularity to care as a kid, and like most of Michael Bay's movies, his movie adaptations did nothing for me (I like to watch films, not be assaulted by them). I do however really like this MOC. Even if it wasn't based on a cool cartoon and toy line, it would be awesome.
As we transition into fall, school starts and BrickCon looms, it also means Christmas is right around the corner. Lovely, glorious Christmas, around which the entire kid-year revolves. It would seem LoctiteGirl is looking forward to it as well, judging by this charming MOC. I love the stars breaking up and becoming snow (although I do have to wonder how those are attached).
With FBTB's Star Warsify and Eurobricks Pimp contests both going simultaneously, this is going to be an epic month of mini VW's. They're already showing up and we're barely getting started. Being a big fan of the van, I couldn't be happier.

Monet painted his garden many times, exploring changes in color and time of day. Meredith Najewicz follows his lead, rebuilding the LEGO Art Water Lilies set with a darker palette and some creative part substitutions to cast the lilies in a different light.
