Master of the small ship Phall Macaroni calls this a NB-02 courier class, I call it sweet. Great use of colors, angles, details and design. Not only is the ship excellent, check out that stand. It implies some kind of robotic functionality, very cool.
This is a absolutely beautiful MOC depicting the Hispaniola as she prepares prepares to make sail to Treasure Island. The attention to detail is superb, as is the build quality. I especially love the diversity of all the buildings, each has it's own personality. The brick-built sails are also very charming. Click through for lots of other pictures. Nicely done Matthew Hurt.
The Pimp My Nerdly contest is half over, and the entries so far are brilliant. I know there's more in progress but is yours? Get building people!
This crazy cool concept from Robiwan Kenobi is for harvesting helium-3 from the surface of the moon. There's so much clever building and parts use that you can stare at this thing for ages. Then you can wrap your head around the fact that this is based on feasible science. Way cool.
Disclaimer: Do not attempt this, you or your bricks could get seriously burned, seriously.
Prepare to have your mind blown LEGO fans. Siercon and Coral have unleashed a slew of MOCs in the last day. But this one, holy cow, a mech with a working flame thrower! Watch the video to see it in action. And check out their photostream for all the amazing last minute MOCs for Iron Builder. These two are machines!
...His shadow is inexplicably in the shape of a meat grinder, and that he is spooked by the sound of vacuums. All we know is he's called THE STIG.
Sure that other trainer has some great Pokemon, and a ton of badges, but you have the advantage. Wait until he gets a peek at Mecha Charizard! Wait, what's this? He's choosing Mr. Mime? Alright Mecha Charizard, stomp that worthless piece of...
With two simultaneous contests running, Flickr is VWriffic these days, and it makes me happy. Here's just a few of the brilliant little offerings to date.
It's another stunning and beautiful anime MOC from Moko. As usual I have no idea who it is or where she's from, but she's gorgeous. There's lots of detail to gawk at but look at those shoes, fabulous.
There's some seriously clever and detailed building going in here. Check out the wheels, they're chrome steering wheels, the whitewalls are bands. The tubing ads a great contour to the top and side. And the engine is wild. All that and it's photographed absolutely beautifully.
If you're a fan of reptiles and LEGO, have I got a MOC for you. Yes, it's yet another build from Iron Builder, but it's awe inspiring. Siercon and Coral have constructed a terrarium with a working waterfall and numerous inhabitants. And no, there's no glass in there, that frog is suspended by a trans rod. Oh, and the background, it's from a Chima poster, wow. Check out the video for more details.
The first round of the MocOlympics is "The 12 Signs of the Zodiac". There have been many creative interpretations of this, and many excellent MOCs. This one by Delatron 3000 though is a thing of nightmares. Instead of just classic twins, this is inspired by siamese twins, and sideshow attractions. How wonderfully bent.
Mmmm, my favorite food, the cheeseburger. This build is as brilliantly presented as it's built. Check out the salt and pepper shakers, they're full of 1x1's, and so is the shake. I can't believe a MOC is making me hungry, but now I'm craving burger.
There are few jobs that I can think of that I'd rather not do than deal with radioactive materials. Well, that and work at McDonald's. My first job was at the golden arches when I was 16, it sucked. But at least I didn't have to wear protective clothing to keep me alive while doing my job. Nice MOC Outer Rim Emperor.
It's always good to see a builder jump back in after a break, especially when they're as good as Arkov. We all go through times when we don't build much, or at all. But for the true AFOL (or TFOL) the longing will always be there, if only just. Then that day comes, and you rummage through the bins, click bricks and bring a new creation to life. Then sit back proudly and think "yeah, I built that".
This is a beautiful MOC. Very clean, clever building and attention to detail. I especially like the engine, it's so easy to overbuild and detract from the rest of the model, or under build and lose the realism. This strikes the perfect balance.
Any Sherlock Holmes fan (myself included) knows that address well. I actually visited there a couple years ago. Yes, that's a real address, and it's been converted into a fairly cheesy Sherlock museum and tourist trap. There's nothing cheesy about this MOC though, it's top notch work by Paul Vermeesch.
This cool MOC caught my eye. There's no real description but it's clearly a VTOL support ship. Wonderful angles on this, giving it a utilitarian yet sleek aesthetic. I dig the big flat surfaces broken up by just the right amount of detail. The ground vehicles are pretty cool too. Nice photograph too, the background really works well. Nice work Anto-Nio.
