It actually doesn't seem all that long ago that this was a thing. Sure everyone had a TV, but they were built to last and when something did go wrong, you called a guy or took it to a place. Now TVs are practically disposable. Of course they also look WAY better, cost way less and weigh nearly nothing. This MOC by LegoJalex pretty much sums up the fate of the TV repair shop.
Here's another fun fact, I get sea sick. Or more to the point, motion sick. I've only been out on a boat a few times, and I was feeding the fish before very long every time. So I cannot fathom the shade of green I'd be aboard this totally amazing MOC by peggyjb. Of course the ship is lovely, but the waves and the composition of this shot is excellent.
I find medieval warfare fascinating. Can you imagine what it was like to wrap your body in a metal suit and storm a giant building made of rock? Just to have arrows fired at you, boiling oil dropped on you or have another guy in a metal suit come at you with a ginormous sword? I'd be dead in moments I'm sure. Builders like Disco86 help us imagine what it was like with stellar builds like this. A little snapshot of time, of a larger place and larger battle. See that guy falling off the wall? That's me.
This is total geek porn here. One of the greatest sic-fi weapons from one of the greatest sic-fi movies, the M41A pulse rifle from Aliens. This version by Legohaulic is brilliant, with amazing accuracy and building. The ammo counter even lights up when the trigger is pulled. I WANT THIS.
I was literally looking at Unikitty's tail yesterday wondering what it might be used for, but waves didn't occur to me. This MOC by Melan-E is lovely, simple, small and adorable. And I have to agree, after this brutal and extra long winter all of the North American continent is ready for a little summer.
This battle scene by Mark of Falworth is an awesome MOC. I think people fall into a bit of a trap with large builds by making them too symmetrical, and therefore somewhat uninteresting. But look at the shape of this one, by making one cliff side longer than the other, and making the edges undulate, it has interest and dynamics in just the terrain alone. Throw in a few dozen soldiers about to get busy and you have all the makings of epic.
For the uninitiated, GARC (Galactic Asteroid Rally Circuit) is a thing, and that thing has now been miniaturized. GARC evangelists Andrew Lee and Simon Liu are inviting all to build a small, sweet and swift mini GARC and join them in community builds at Brickworld and BrickCon this year. Time to get your GARC on!
I made the switch to Mac a little over two years ago, and I haven't regretted it for a minute. I certainly got used to using these three keys in my many years prior to making the switch. I think imagining them as a troubleshooting strike force like these awesome builds by 74louloute might have made my blood boil a little less rapidly...yeah, probably not.
My cousin lives in San Francisco and has season tickets to the Niners. But I'm a Raiders fan so I beat him up a lot. This is a cool LEGO football though.

LUGNuts gearhead LinoM is back with another jaw-dropper. Behold the Ralston Rhino. The fictional Ralston family approached the fine builders of LUGNuts to create the next thing in highway hauling and Lino has delivered. I can just imagine the driver climbing through the suicide doors into the crazy forward leaning cab, initializing the anti-grav capabilities and firing up the turbine...then hauling 22.6 tons of Vienna sausages or something to Toledo.
Some of our loyal readers will instantly recognize this castle from a previous post we did on Belynia Castle. Well Belynia is no longer just a castle but has been expanded out to an entire village. Simon really took this village in a direction that I was not expecting and that is more than OK and I am really floored with the way it turned out. When taking a closer look at the village make sure to check out all the additional details he added including the docks and the water technique on the shore line.
Tan castles are somewhat rare, and exceptional tan castles like this fine example by Gideon_83 are quite scarce. The wall work in this is well done, adding texture and variety while not getting busy. The dark tan adds a bit of contrast and interest, but compliments the color. And the use of the planet as a dome is inspired.

Yes it was just last week when I posted another version of Hellboy, but what can I say, he's cool! This medium sized bust by HP Mohnroth packs all the character into a small package and does it perfectly. I especially like the use of the new ball and socket joint for the neck, allows for excellent pose-ability.
There have pretty much always been cats at my house, from "Tiki" the siamese mix I had as a kid to "Crash" and "Ashley" they cats I have now. None of them have been particularly cool, at least not as cool as these critters by Arzlan. I suppose Crash is sorta cool, when he's not barfing or suffocating us in our sleep, but Ashley is essentially a furry speed bump, useless. She's like a butterball turkey wearing a fur jacket. I've never had a rabbit, but judging by this pic it's the ringleader. Like that friend you had as a kid with all the best bad ideas.
Can LEGO be sexy? I say this is evidence in favor of that. Meet Miss Izzy Orchard, a steampunk creation by Pate-keetongu. I can honestly say that no matter how many times I've looked at the minifigure ruff, I've never thought "garter".

The Cap doesn't mess around when it comes to supporting our troops, and JaredChan doesn't mess around when it comes to outstanding building. There's so much to love in this diorama, the bunting, the eagle, the dancing girls and of course Red Skull's sweet ride. But for the me the stand out is the stars and stripes shield, awesome.
