The anticipation for Fallout 4 is hitting fever pitch, and the MOCs inspired by it are already making their way online. This one by builder 'rolli almost slipped by it's so good. I genuinely skimmed right past it at first thinking it was just concept art, it was only the top of the rocket that caught my eye at the last microsecond. Wow, what a build and what a shot, perfect!
I've spent SO much time over the last couple years engrossed in the world of Gotham and Batman, so much so I'm frankly a bit burned out. But this wonderful microscale Batman set got me instantly excited, so there's still some hope for me. I LOVE this, all the tiny details, all the figures, all the vehicles and play features, it's awesome. I generally try to avoid posting LEGO Ideas stuff, but I would love to see this actually made. Leave it to builder vitreolum to not only bring these classic fairytale princesses to life in brick, but to make them downright...sexy. Whether it's Snow White being tempted with a poison apple, Red Riding Hood getting creeped on by Big Bad Wolf or Repunzel getting all wrapped up with hair (and nothing else), all of these MOCs are gorgeous.

Leave it to paddybricksplitter to successfully shrink the Ghostbusters headquarters into a 16x16 footprint. Despite it's relatively small size, it's instantly recognizable and totally iconic. There's even a pretty pesky poltergeist that's just itching to be trapped.
A LEGO Brickumentary is finally out on home video! As many of you know, BrickNerd Studios produced over 8 minutes of original animation for this film, and it was a fantastic opportunity. If you love the brick (you must, you're ready my mostly terrible blog) you'll love this heart warming and informative documentary about how LEGO touches the lives of so many around the world.
what do you do when your plastic cuckoo clock breaks? Build a new, better one out of LEGO of course! That's exactly what builder Miro78 has done and as you can see the results are brilliant. There's no little birdie, and the weights are just for show, but it's still a functioning clock, and a fine looking one I might add.
Feast your eyes on this (and I hope they're hungry, it might take a while). Builder Pierre Import / T1MEK0DE has put together a truly colossal and stunning interior inspired by Fallout, and you're going to love it. Even if you haven't played the game (guilty) there's so much to like here it's worth the time to check out all the pictures. And if you're having a hard time judging the scale, find the minifigure hiding in there.
The 60's in the US were an odd time. So much turmoil, controversy, corruption and angst. That is unless you were a "hippy", then it was free love, copious amounts of mind altering substances and music. This peace-loving dude by 6kyubi6 looks like he'd be right at home in a VW bus in Berkley, and doesn't have a care in the world.

The Arvo brothers are back with another stunning book. This time around it's everyone favorite xenomorph from Alien. The 220 page hardbound book is divided into four chapters, and looks like it will be a fantastic study in their approach and building methods. You can order it by emailing them.
I love the utilitarian yet stylish design on this MOC by LEGOLIZE IT MAN. The exposed mechanics as well as the plumbing give it a very plausible look, and it seems like something that could actually be saving some poor humans a considerable amount of labor somewhere in the world.

Builder m_o_n_k_e_y is back with another brilliant robot. Meet KLUNK, I don't know what his primary function is, but he looks really cool doing it. He kind of reminds me of a cross between Iron Giant and Chappie, and that's ok with me.
Isn't this awesome?!? The lighting, the work stations, the chair; it's such a great combination of all the sci-fi sets we know and love. Somehow you get a sense of the mass of the rest of the ship in this shot, and the crew's anticipation of what's about to happen. Is it an alien ship, or a dangerous spacial anomaly? Hopefully Peter Reid is working on a story line of NCS adventures.
One of the most jaw dropping moments in the teaser trailer for Star Wars The Force Awakens (which I was lucky enough to watch at Star Wars Celebration) was the shot of the new x-wings skimming the surface of a lake kicking up a huge rooster tail in their wake. Speaking of jaw dropping, check out this MOC by Miro78 recreating that very moment.
Yes, Halloween is finally here. Time to decorate the house (if you haven't already), put on Monster Mash, put the heaps of candy in a bowl and wait for all the parents all over town to drop their kids in your neighborhood (at least that's what they do here). I can only hope I get some trick-or-treaters tonight that look as good as this lot by Takamichi Irie. I better go get more candy...
It's been said that wealth corrupts, and there are few stories of wealth corrupting more than the story of Thrór (albeit fictional). With the accumulated wealth of the dwarves mines and his beloved Arkenstone there were few richer in Middle Earth, and few more mad. Builder Pate-Keetongu brings us this brilliant brick-built version.
Orcs are a very misunderstood creature, often thought of in lore as evil, dirty, and generally not all that nice! But just because they prefer the freeness of loin cloth over a nice pair of pants doesn't make them evil. Sure they pillage the villages of the various, hapless, fantasy realms from time to time and maybe they enjoy "man-flesh" a little bit too much. And who knows what do-gooder they captured this fort, created by builder Christophe, from? In the end maybe these "evil" deeds are just a cry for help. So, the next time you run across a pillaging orc in your village, go ahead and give him a nice big hug, just watch out for the spiky armor.
