Micro Fishing Village

Maybe I haven't had enough tea yet on this first day of school, but it took me way too long to realize this was a micro build (something I'm always impressed with). I don't normally feature digital builds (get your bricks out!) but I'm really impressed with this little fishing village by mmbace. There's so much detail! He's also submitted it as a Cuusoo project, I think I'll add my support. 

NerdlyRod!

Lino Martins was one of the winners of the Nerdly contest last month. And not to break character, Nerdly has been hotrodded out. Congrats again Lino, Nerdly never looked better!

This inspires me to run a new contest. What do you all think of a "Pimp My Nerdly" contest? I'll post the instructions and you can all go nuts with it. Thoughts?

The Kinetic Energy Wobulator Block. I can't stop looking at this MOC, it's captivating. The offsets, the gaps, the colors, it's great. A very nice piece expertly displayed, nice work Jacob. 

Morias' Mill

Harnessing the power of water was one of the things that got us out of the dark ages. But a secondary benefit was the absolute charm and aesthetic beauty of a classic mill. This MOC by David Hensel is a perfect example. Check out the discoloration at the bottom of the walls, perfect! 

Cessna 172

I've flown in this plane, I've actually piloted a 152. If you live in a metropolitan area you can probably go outside and look around and spot one in the sky right now. They are ubiquitous, and this MOC by jesbert  captures it perfectly. 

Stained Glass Link

Here at BrickNerd we like to look back from time to time, this time to Hyrule. Posting about the Cuusoo project reminded me of this wonderful Legend of Zelda mosaic by Bolt of Blue. It was at my first BrickCon, and the first time I saw a mosaic in person of something I'm a fan of. I was captivated. Not only is it a mosaic, it's designed as a stained glass window. When back-lit this thing is gorgeous.

Support These Zelda Cuusoo Projects!

For completely selfish reasons, because I want to have them! I love Zelda, I've been a fan for ages. These are a really cool sets, they hit all the marks and I think they would be good sellers. Despite the outcome of the last fully supported Zelda Cuusoo project, I vote we all keep trying until LEGO relents.

Tide

Everyday objects are always fun subject matter. There's just something wondrous about seeing something you totally take for granted rendered in bricks.  David Haliski has made this his specialty, and as you can see by this Tide box, he's very good at it.

Oh I Loooove Trash (Talk)

This is a MOC and smack talk in one (sMOC talk?) Not to be intimidated, Siercon and Coral fire back with everyone's favorite trash can dweller, Oscar the Grouch. How they attached all those green spikes is beyond me. 

The Adirondack Express

I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, "hey look, a cool MOC by Mark of Falworth". But my philosophy is pretty damn simple: If it's cool, blog it. This is cool! A charming and detailed micro build.  Check out that train, lovely.

Callisto

one shot one kill! Well, this has never happened before. I just happened to be viewing when this gorgeous beast was uploaded. I was the very first view, and now it's here. The use of the track for the engine supports is inspired. NPU (nice part use) F@bz

Inception Snow Cat

Inception was a cool movie, and this was a cool scene. Naturally, this is a cool MOC (lots off cool going on, perhaps it's all the snow). Project Azazel brings us this Inception inspired MOC, with tons of great but subtle detail. Check out the tracks under the Snow Cat.

Duel In The Deep

Clearly there will be no punches pulled in this Iron Builder. Not one to rest on his laurels Mark Of Falworth has already unleashed a second MOC on an unsuspecting Siercon and Coral. This is indeed going to be an epic battle.

Medieval Pop-up Book!

Prepare to be amazed. This MOC is...well, look at it! Just as a static display it would be excellent, but it's a pop-up book! Can you believe it? A freakin' pop-up book!

Enchanted Flora And Morning Monsters

First blood has been drawn in the latest Iron Builder. This round pits Siercon and Coral vs the Brothers Falworth, and it should be a good one. The seed part is a flexible green spike.

Siercon and Coral were first with this rose from Beauty and the Beast. No, LEGO doesn't make glass domes, get over it.

Not to be outdone, Mark of Falworth gives us this nightmare. Personally I think the teddy bear isn't afraid, teddy bears are our secret protectors.

The Cutest Little Blaster Ever

Here's proof you don't need a lot of parts to be freakin' awesome. Han Solo's blaster, built with 15 pieces by ObedientMachine. I'm inspired to build a whole arsenal of mini props, who's with me?
