Having built a few trees recently I know how fragile and fiddly they can be. And I can't imagine how fragile and fiddly this one by studio tidepool is. But it's also absolutely beautiful.

He-Man arrived on the scene just a tad too late for me. When the series premiered I was just about to go into high school (oh gawd, I'm so old). And the movie never happened, got it? It just never happened, move on, nothing to see here. But I don't care if I ever watched it or not, this is a badass rendition of Skeletor. Powerpig strikes again.

Give That Wookie A Medal

To properly appreciate this awesome MOC by -derjoe-, you need to play the "Throne Room and End Title" from the Star Wars soundtrack while gawking at it. Of course even if you don't have it handy, you're now humming it in your head. You're welcome.

Nowa AI-7 RV

What do you get when you cross a pit bull with a tank and mix in a little robotics? No idea, but I'm guessing something like this awesome six-legged mech by Cole Blaq. How much fun would this thing be to drive around? Especially in an urban environment, "accidentally" crushing the random Prius and stuff.

Golden Ratio Calipers

I would not have thought this possible, or at least I would not have thought to attempt this. But Amida Na did and I'm so happy for it. If you do not know, the golden ratio is both a mathematical and aesthetic ratio of about 1.618 to 1. Look at your fingers, each digit is about 1.618 of the next. Artists have been using calipers like this for ages, and now LEGO builders can too.

AP 35-T Cargo Lifter

Say you had to maneuver a 40,000 pound cargo container of cat litter, and while you were at it, 17 cases of vienna sausages, 9 cylinders of helium and a couple 50 gallon drums of lubricant (what can I say, it's gonna be a wild party). Normally you'd have a hard time with this, but not of you have access to a AP 35-T! Lego Junkie brings us this heavy lifting wonder (speaking of wonder, didn't that guy just do Iron Builder, sheesh) More pics and a full back story on MocPages.

FJ

I have wanted a Toyota FJ ever since I first saw one. There's something so appealing about it's retro look, beefy proportions and utilitarian philosophy. My personal choice would be for khaki with a white top (if anyone from Toyota wants to send me one), but yellow is cool. This version by Peteris Sprogis is remarkable. The contouring and blending is perfect, and from a thumbnail, you'd swear you were just looking at a photo of a real FJ.

Pontumon

This is the stuff of wondrous nightmares. But then again, that's sort of what mihaimariusmihu is best known for, beautiful yet haunting MOCs. The design on this is superb, effortlessly transitioning from shape to shape in a continuous flow. It's almost Gigeresque, and I would not be surprised to see this in a Guillermo del Toro movie.

Silver Bolt

Presentation is key when it comes to getting your MOC noticed. I've seen amazing MOCs with terrible photographs fall to the wayside. I've also seen somewhat humdrum MOCs with spectacular photography or photo editing get universally praised. This MOC by lisqr however, is the total package. Excellent build, stunning display and clean photography. The vehicle is really cool, but I have to say, it's the base that caught my eye, awesome.

Crimson Storm

Jon Hall is back with another stellar offering of aerodynamic coolness, and she's a beauty of course. The color combinations and design on this one is of course awesome (they all are!) but the technique for the guns and the use of silver is just friggin' brilliant.

Remember Remember The Fifth Of November

Whether you are into the film V For Vendetta, Bonfire night or just like a bit of treason, you know Guy Fawkes, or at least his mask. This version by Âtin is pretty spot-on, and looks wearable. Just don't go wandering into the basement of parliament with it.

Lightspeed To Endor!

I've been missing Disneyland. You all know I'm a fan and frequent flyer, but we're taking a hiatus (passes expired and we're waiting to renew) so I haven't been in a few months. So in addition to listening to park music and ride-throughs, I'm perusing Disney MOCs. And this StarSpeeder 3000 by Sir Nadroj is one of my all-time faves. Clean lines, clever construction and perfect attention to detail. It just doesn't get much better than this.

Feel The Power

There's a distinct beauty to simple, real-world structures. Not a classic architectural beauty, usually not aesthetic beauty, but more of a rugged utilitarian beauty of form following function. This small power station and office by LegoJalex is just sort a structure. No apologies, no flash, no grandeur, just built for purpose. Yet, it's got just enough panache, just enough style to make it simply appealing.

So what did you think when you first glanced at this? Artwork? Me too. But no, look closer, it's LEGO. It's not really a traditionally built MOC, more of clever part arrangement, but it's still friggin' awesome. 

Portal To The Moon

I have a confession, I haven't played Portal. It's not that I have anything against it, I just don't have an X-Box that's not buried in Flaming Hot Cheetos wrappers in one of my boys' rooms. I watched my son play a bit though, and I have the soundtrack, does that count? (nerd cred -2, damn). Lego Junkie drops the mic with this, his 14th and final MOC for Iron Builder, and it's awesome.

Red And Lord Helix

Twitch Plays Pokemon is one of those social experiments that seems to bring a great many people pleasure, with seemingly next to no benefits to society. But you can't get that many people in one place interacting without some spark of inspiration or restoration of faith in humanity. And anything that sparks creativity can't be bad. Besides, it inspired this MOC by Âtin, so it's all good.

Naughty Robot

Pete Reid and Chris Salt have stumbled across some evidence of some otherworldly electro-mechanical mischievery. This little robot really means no harm, but he is a little shy, and just a tad clumsy. Check out the video.

The Grand Joust of Gisellirburg

Mark of Falworth and his real-life brother, "Brother" Steven dropped an excellent medieval joust creation on us late last night. The Grand Joust is taken from the last part of their first book in their new series, The Anselm Saga. This build features a lot of what I like to see in a castle MOC, lots of small details, character, visual depth and a good use of color. I expect we will see many more MOCs from their book series in the coming months so stay tuned and check back often.

K-Drone

SANDSTORM reports continue to come in, I hope the Nambia authorities are paying attention. This drone (by Si-MOCs) was sighted being positioned by dropship with no human companions and is assumed autonomous. It's bristling with armaments and looks like a formidable drone, this can't bode well.
