I have some alarming news, builder Orion Pax has caught Gundam fever. Although little is known about this disease it would appear the only way to treat it is to build some amazing mechs. I think he'll get better though, if these MOCs are any indication. Check out his website for a ton more pictures of this amazing build.

This is a fun little concept, a micro scale building of a relief map. Sir Valient packed a ton of detail into this fairly small space, including numerous ships and structures. But my favorite detail has to be the sea serpent, check out the bottom of the map, he's right there.
The latest LUGnuts challenge is all about secret agents, and Lino M delivers quite an entry with this ultra custom spy car of the future. It features a extendable rotating weapons rack, missiles, a buzz saw, and can deploy a motorcycle from the passenger side! And all in a totally badass looking package.
Because he's beholding you! Now roll a 20X and see how many SSP (supreme squee points) you gained. V&A Steamworks has combined Mixels and D&D to create a true nerd mashup and the results are very cute, I mean terrifying, I mean adorable, I mean...
If this is what level 11 looks like, I am not sure I want to see levels 1 through 10 much less 12 and beyond. I mean seriously, what is going on with the pulsating lumps of techno-worms and why are those people in green ooze tanks, guarded by creepy looking alien-things? Perhaps it is best to ask creator Bart De Dobbelaer or read the comic this is based on, Nemesis - Level11.
Here at BrickNerd we like to look back from time to time, and across the Pacific. My Hawaiian vacation is coming to an end and it's been lovely. I didn't get to see any cool Hawaiian style customs while I was here, but I seriously doubt I'd see anything as cool as this classic beetle from Lino M. Surf's up dude!
Mr Algernon Moncrieff, in my opinion, was the first hipster. While learning the importance of being earnest (see what I did there?) he led a double life, dodging the responsibilities of aristocratic Victorian London. Today, he'd wear a stupid beanie, have a beard and mustache wax, and vape like there's no tomorrow. Nice build vitreolum.
If you were fortunate enough to attend Brickworld Chigago (I wasn't, sad face) then you had the opportunity to drool on this in real life. I'll have to settle for drooling on this desk here in my hotel room (don't tell housekeeping, that's gross). While taking on Carl Merriam in an incredible round of Iron Builder the great Pepa Quin built The Android's Dungeon from The Simpsons, and it all sort of happened from there.
Wow, LEGO Adventurers - talk about a majorly underutilized theme in the LEGO universe! I have always been a fan of LEGO Adventurers and its hero Johnny Thunder and, as result, I am a fan on this MOC even if it is missing theme regulars Pippin Reed and Dr. Kilroy. JBIronworks and his brother DBExplorer have done a wonderful job recreating what looks to be the beginnings of an excellent treasure-hunting adventure for our hero that even Indiana Jones would be proud of. The similarities between Johnny Thunder and Indiana Jones were always undeniable which is, perhaps, one of the reasons why the Adventures theme was canceled in 2003 to prepare for Indiana Jones Theme in 2008.
In fact, I still have my original GameBoy in a box in my garage. None of these MOCs by lego27bricks is new, but they've all been assembled for the first time to show a proud heritage of the greatest handheld gaming device, the Nintendo GameBoy. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some dungeon mischief to manage in Lowrule on my 3DS XL...

I loved The Far Side, still do. There are few comics that could weave so much smart humor into a single panel, and none could rival Gary Larson. I sincerely hope this MOC from Sly Owl is just the first of many. There's so much material to take advantage of, and it's all absolutely brilliant.
It would seem even the world of Micropolis isn't immune to the encroachment of corporate greet and dominance. This corporate headquarters by Steebles is brilliant. Even at such a small scale the building seems imposing and impersonal. The use of the crates as paneled walls is inspired, and the balance of details vs broad strokes is perfect.
Now that you've had a quick glance at this photo, look again. That twinge in your skull is your brain trying to process the scale of this brilliant MOC by Si-MOCs. Most of us when given a Benny flashlight would think something like "cool, now I build in the dark" but not Simon, he crafted an enormous tribute to classic space.

From easter eggs to beach chairs, church pews to clever lighting, colorful balloons to vertical mosaics, no detail is too small when it comes to your LEGO MOC. It is those little bits that add life, character, and interest to your piece. I enjoyed poring over the details at Brickworld and it seemed that each time I looked at a MOC, I would discover a new little nugget.
These just make me want to put on some driving gloves, slip on some goggles and go motoring through the UK countryside. Car enthusiasts will recognize these beauties instantly as Caterham 7's, world renown for their small two seater form factor and Lotus heritage. They are masterfully recreated here by Bricktrix, so much so in fact that from a thumbnail, they look totally authentic.
Here at BrickNerd we like to look back from time to time, even to our own past. Way back before I made the switch to digital effects I did creature effects and animatronics. I've built many hands in my time, but I don't think any were as cool as this one from Barman76. I really like the linkage on the fingers, allowing all four to gracefully move independently, but be driven by two motors, genius! Watch the video, you'll be amazed.
Don't let the bright and cheery color scheme of this mecha by DViddy fool you, it's a formidable weapon. Bionicle parts are used to great effect here, offering excellent contouring and detail without the MOC looking at all "Bionicle".
MacLane is back with a couple more in his brilliant couch series. Here we see RoboCop, enjoying a beverage after a long night on patrol, and Kane feeling VERY relaxed after a chest burster appears on the scene.
