The LEGO Movie premiere release is right around the corner, and everything is awesome. Fan MOCs are cropping up all over but none as stunning as this faithful recreation of the coliseum by Imagine™. Using only the trailers as reference he has recreated this masterpiece, and it's stunning.
Anyone who's ever gotten to the end of Super Smash Brothers should recognize this. I've always been more of an explorer and puzzle solver gamer, and challenges like this one frustrate me to no end. The trick here is to charge your armor, and go into a ball as the fist comes down...
I've been watching the development of this series of MOCs with great interest. Since my original post back in October, Pate-keetongu has created three more Dwarves from Peter Jackson's The Hobbit. I look forward to the day when the entire party is in a single shot, it will be epic.

Being a patriot means a lot of things to a lot of people. Perhaps you never forget to put the flag out on July 4th. Maybe you remember to always remove your hat during the National Anthem. And maybe you're a robotic civil war badass with a gatling gun built by Carlmerriam.
Mark of Falworth is a regular here on BrickNerd and for good reason as he is constantly turning out excellent MOCs including his latest, the Venetian War Galley. I can just smell the salt of the sea and feel the wind in my hair coasting along in this ship and boy does that beach look inviting. It really makes you long for summer doesn't it?
I love this little space ship. From the symmetrical design to the meaty, over-sized engines, the details are perfection. With enough neon to make the 1980s jealous, you'll see this little guy coming from miles away. But not to worry, what it lacks in size it makes up for in power. The Firestorm Heavy Interceptor can hold its own, packing enough heat to outfit a small squadron.
The USS Sulaco from the 1986 classic Aliens is one of my favorite all-time ships. Syd Mead's original design for the ship, while still cool, was a little bulbous and not very fitting for the Colonial Marines' bad ass persona. Then director James Cameron did a rough sketch of what's been called a "gun in space" and the rest is history. This MOC by Si-MOCs captures it's iconic shape perfectly in small form.
Warner Brothers cartoons were a staple of my kid diet (those and Chick-O-Sticks) so it pleases me to no end to see these classic characters built in brick. This is Pepa Quin's SIXTEENTH entry into Iron Builder (how do these guys do it?)
I love a good MOC with animation. Check out this DaVinci flying machine by True Dimensions. It not only has great aesthetics, the motion is great. The best part is you can build your own because True Dimensions has shared instructions on his website. You can also support it on Cuusoo.
MikeVd is back with another brilliant manga MOC, and once again I have no idea who it is or where she's from. A quick Google search has left me even more baffled, having no experience with battle ships personified as big eyed girls. I'll just stick with admiring this MOC, she's a beauty.

If I had a dollar for every time I spotted a Russian folklore inspired steampunk walking battle ready chicken hut...well, I could almost afford a Big Gulp. This whimsical and charming MOC by Dwalin Forkbeard is just that, and while a little difficult to wrap your head around, it's not hard to appreciate clever building and fun design.
What we have here is one sleek-looking, crimson beauty. I mean seriously, look at this thing! It would be amazing in any color, but is even more so in the rare LEGO dark red. The build is chock full of great little details including foot pedals, shifter, and a fully modeled engine under the hood.
They just don't make cars like this anymore.
I dropped many a quarter into various pinball machines in my past, but the machines that took the most of my hard earned coins were always the Star Wars themed machines. So this MOC by 6kyubi6 makes me very happy. And this doesn't just look awesome, it's totally playable and has lights!. Check out the video after the jump.
Here's a 'fab' mashup by qi_tah, The Shire and Fabuland. As if Hobbiton wasn't inviting enough, with the addition of Fabuland characters and charm, it's absolutely irresistible. I wish I had been able to see this in person at Brickvention.

This MOC by nate_daly is actually a few months old, but these new pictures really show off how awesome it truly is. There's so much to love and detail everywhere on this figure. I think my favorite part use is the Technic bumper bricks on the shoulders, inspired.
I'm a fan of Lord Of The Rings. And while many fans took some offense or were at least disappointed when Tom Bombadil didn't make the cut in Peter Jackson's epic trilogy I have to admit I didn't care. It's always struck me as sort of superfluous and odd part of the book. But perhaps if I had seen this charming MOC by Sergeant Chipmunk I would have had a clearer picture in my head. Then again, there's those songs...
